The two clips below were recorded with two different microphones, one with a dynamic 57* ($100) and one with a condenser 87* ($2000).

The track recorded with the dynamic 57 was processed with LAVA technology to achieve the 87 sound.

Give them a listen:

- Acoustic Guitar and Lead Vocal originally recorded with the SM57 mic.

- The outcome of converting an SM57 ($109 mic) to an ELA251 ($30k mic) with Lava.

- The outcome of converting a Behringer ($81 mic) to a U87 ($9k mic) with Lava.

We only recorded vocals since the Behringer is unsuitable for acoustic guitar recording.
