I happened across two things: Machine Girl (composer of Neon White, if I remember correctly?), and a future funk playlist. And here we are.

Well, it's not exactly that style. But I decided to do something a little experimental (what's a fun song without a good experiment), but I think this is short and sweet with enough sauce.

This goes without saying, but I do not own the cover art of most of my uploads. I'm sure I clarify whether the art I own is actually mine, but I say iPlat (whose art I found on furaffinity) deserves some special credit for this piece I'm using even though we have no correlation. I'm just giving him a shoutout.

This should have been simple.

About one year later, here we finally are.

I haven't released this version of Moonsong for a long time because I wanted this song to be special, and I don't upload music frequently because I'm always worried if anything is really "ready," but after making some long overdue adjustments, I decided this song was ready to be shared.

Subordinary noncoherence is a big way to say nonsense.

I enjoyed Klaus Veen's style of music around that time (Seriously, he's fantastic. He made Ordinary Days V2, which is in Lethal League,) so I decided to try to replicate that style just to see if I could learn it, and well...

Yeah, it's not over the top or anything, but it's good enough. But that's not why I make music. As a musician, my goal is to experiment with different sounds just to see how other people do their music. Not to be like them. Different people have different things they think, why should I be forced to think like them? However, all in all this was a fun sound experiment to try to make something Klaus Veen-like (hence the #veen-like tag). I don't think it's bad, but you do you if you don't like it.

That being said, is the "subordinary" part meant to be "less-than-ordinary" (the sub part) or more like "subordinate" (as in, following the rule of another, higher law)? Either way, maybe it'll make sense if I listen to it a bit more.

The character in this cover should be Vex from League of Legends (I don't know if it functions with gifs) because the gif I'm trying to use doesn't make me unsee this song. Wibble-wibble-wobble and all.

P.S. gifs don't animate, but I got my point across.

Subordinary Noncoherence

May 17th. I've finally found the sound I was looking for. Hopefully the translation isn't weird, I'm currently not fluent in Japanese.

For a long time before making this song, I wanted some traditional Japanese-style sound loops so I could fuel my weeb energy. Lo and behold, I found a whole lot of them, which I used to make this track.

I originally thought this song would fit one of my characters, but you know what? It's a good song as it is. I usually use modern instrument loops, from guitars to synths, but really, I get bored of that kind of thing. This track should be a nice change of pace from what I usually compose.

But really, what's the setting behind this song? I mean, it literally says Dojo, but is it a bushido samurai duel? Is it a karate training spar? Is it a ninjutsu discipline? Either way, Dojo was fun to make and listen to.

I hope you enjoy this simple traditional Japanese-style song.
