Oliver Huntemann’s concrete roots can be traced back to early techno. Hadhe been any younger, he would undoubtedly have sucked electronica likemother’s milk from a C64 chip. Like so many of his colleagues, his route totechno took a tour through electro and rave. He could tell the usual veterantales when it comes to influences, his first record purchases, or on the subjectof the good old days. Been there, done that! It was more difficult maintaininga low profile.June 2017 saw the first Senso Sounds Day and Night Open Air draw in thecrowds, a perfect springboard to extend the scope of label and bookingoperations. Both his label Senso Sounds and his Kontrast Artists agencyhave been up and running since 2014.Huntemann the producer and collaborator has racked up remixes for the likesof Chemical Brothers, Depeche Mode, Underworld (the list goes on) and hiswork with Dubfire now spans a good eight years (Elements, Dios, Diablo,Humano).Since 2016, his residency at Watergate has been illuminating Berlin's nightlifequite brilliantly, whilst he continues to play clubs and festivals all over theplanet: from Warung in Brazil and the Rex Club in Paris to BPM Festival inMexico, Strawberry Fields and Let Em Eat Cake in Australia or WoogieWeekend in California.2017 sees the arrival of Oliver Huntemann's 5th album “Propaganda”,traileredby two EPs entitled Rotlicht and Poltergeist. All three releases ripplewith taut techno tunes as only he can deliver. Six long years have passedsince the 4th Huntemann album “Paranoia”, but do not be fooled into thinkinghe was taking a break - on the contrary, he has been busier than ever.That’s how it is in the north, actions count, not appearances!

1. Why did you choose to become an artist?
"Because I love to produce music & perform. I feel really glad to have the luck to be able to share it with everybody who likes & enjoys it!"

2. Where do you get your inspiration from?
"Everything!!! If negative or positive experience I feel I get inspiration from a lot of things. Some days or even weeks distance from music & studio helps me a lot. For sure some vacation/travel, sometimes dance/partying hard or just having a chilled day at the lake can push away blocks & give some new inspiring thoughts and ideas... 
...& smoking some weed works for me 🙂"

3. What do you want to express with your music?
"Myself & of course my love & my passion for this kind of music!"

4. Most profound insight you had since you started this career?
"Too many artists told me already (mostly in dirty club-backstage-areas) about other DJs & about their ’not-self-made-tracks’... Please don’t tell me in the future about this ’Ghostwriting-Gossip’. I don’t want to know it & in general haven’t any interests to talk about this topic. Thank you."

5. What makes you laugh?
"Absolut stupid, dumb humor, really far way below the waistline. Additional I find ’producer-memes’ pretty funny & many other things, people & situations."

6. You in 11 years?
"Hopefully a Dad, still totally in love with my wonderful girlfriend. I would like to travel with her & tour around the world via my DJ career. Also I will have a real massive studio space for me & if there is time & need enough, for audio-engineering clients."
