About

Adaman is an artist, producer, and performer based in Berlin, Germany. He describes his style of music as "painting with sound" - 
infusing spectral sound palettes with volumetric ambience as compositions evolve, and entire sets of music unfold. 
A musician since he was 13 years old, he studied ethnomusicology and audio engineering in college and later traveled around the 
world extensively where he was exposed to new cultures and indigenous sounds. Many of these influences can be found in his music today. 
While he has always appreciated all genres of music, he is particularly drawn to the deeper hues of Organic House, Melodic House, Downtempo, 
and Electronica. He enjoys making music that is as much of a journey for his listeners as it is fun to dance to.

Adae is an artist, producer, and performer based in Berlin, Germany. He describes his style of music as "painting with sound" - infusing spectral sound palettes with volumetric ambience as compositions evolve, and entire sets of music unfold.

A musician since he was 13 years old, he studied ethnomusicology and audio engineering in college and later traveled around the world extensively where he was exposed to new cultures and indigenous sounds. Many of these influences can be found in his music today.

While he has always appreciated all styles of music, he is particularly drawn to the deeper hues of Organic House, Melodic House, Downtempo, and Electronica. He enjoys making music that is as much of a journey for his listeners as it is fun to dance to.

Adaman is an artist, producer, and performer currently based in Berlin. His unique style of music involves painting with sound and blending spectral sound palettes with volumetric ambience, creating a journey-like experience for his listeners. With a background in ethnomusicology and audio engineering, Adaman has travelled extensively around the world, which has influenced his music in many ways. He has been performing at Burning Man since 2007 and is a regular at events in San Francisco and Seattle. Adaman has released three EPs of original music, challenging genre norms and expectations. While he appreciates most styles of music, he particularly enjoys creating music in Organic House, Melodic House, Downtempo, and Electronica.

Sunset ... the sky is on fire with orange and purple light receding slowly beyond the hills in the distance. Day becomes night. A myriad of glowing lights, sounds, and electric neon swirl past us. We journey beyond the energetic buzzing of this city in the desert to the outer areas where we only hear the deep thumping echoes in the distance. We encounter artifacts and structures. We traverse a seemingly endless landscape... meet new and unusual friends... speak languages long forgotten to us... sporadically laughing and dancing until a glow on the distant horizon meets us. Slowly the horizon becomes a raging fire in the sky on the dusty plateaus in the distance. We look into each others eyes and smile. It is a new day.

ADAE - Live from Burning Man on Heart Deco & The Phoenix

I had a LOT of fun playing my annual "burn night" set aboard the Phoenix at Burning Man this year. This was my only set all week, and it was magical to be surrounded by old friends and new, spinning some of my favorite tracks while everyone gathered at the center of the playa to watch a 100-ft tall wooden man burn. I hope you enjoy the dusty hot embers, love, and positive vibes infused into this recording. <3

DIVINA is a new EP from Berlin-based musical artist Adaman that invites listeners to explore a spectrum of sonic modalities with eclectic instrumentation and inspired grooves. Adaman gathered much of the inspiration for this release while traveling through India and Sri Lanka earlier this year. DIVINA explores the nature of the divine we sometimes seek but often overlook in each other, and within ourselves.

HYPEROBJECT is a new release by ADAMAN that explores non-traditional melodic structures, polyrhythmic grooves, and timbral resonance. With experimental compositions that utilize a mixture of indigenous instruments juxtaposed with electronic elements the soundscapes on this record are broad yet cohesive, ancient and modern, traditional yet experimental, old and new. 

As conceptualized by object-oriented philosopher Timothy Morton, 'Hyperobjects' are objects that are so large they defy human comprehension and may not even be perceived as objects at all, as they cannot be grasped in a physical sense. 'Hyperobjects' do not exist in a specific time and place, but are stretched out in a way that challenges their definition as something that is physical or material in nature.

ADAE is an artist, producer, and performer based in Berlin. He describes his style of music as "painting with sound" - infusing spectral sound palettes with volumetric ambience as compositions evolve, and entire sets of music unfold. 

A musician since he was 13 years old, he studied ethnomusicology and audio engineering at university and later traveled around the world extensively where he was exposed to new cultures and indigenous sounds. Many of these influences can be found in his music today.

He has performed at Burning Man since 2007, and regularly at events in San Francisco and Seattle. After moving to Berlin, ADAE released 3 EP’s of original music that blur the lines between genres and subvert expectations. 

He is the founder of Heart Deco & The Phoenix -- a popular Burning Man project, esplanade camp, and art/sound vehicle that ran for over 6 years -- as well as other projects. 

In 2019 he joined the Holzmarkt (GuK) cooperative to help support the excellent work that this project is doing to build community and creativity in the heart of Berlin. He has also supported one of San Francisco’s top electronic music venues, The Great Northern, as a limited partner since 2016. 

In his working life, ADAE has created software tools for music lovers and audio professionals at various companies.
