Having been a permanent fixture at Sunwaves for some time now, Romanian maestro Cezar is regularly called upon to put the finishing touches to the bi yearly marathon. For the huge 30th anniversary edition he was slap bang in the middle of the long weekend nestled in-between Rhadoo and Petre Insperescu. Dan Primaru, also known as Primărie, started his musical journey back in 2007 after discovering his passion for DJing and love for club culture. From endeavours at local radio, to exploring Bucharest's scene, his path was unclear. In 2010 he decided to create something for the community and started his own record label. After spending some time in Berlin he realised his playground is Romania, so he relocated. Playing marathon sets at infamous after-parties, presenting his groovy sound in small packed clubs, Primărie performed in every Romanian city from his hometown to the most delightful locations. Inducing smiles on underground dance floors all this years, he has been summoned to play all over Europe's major cities at a wide range of unique clubs and events. Latest years saw Primărie's adding further value to Tzinah Records, expanded his djing performances on other continents too, a residency, and an album of his own music productions.

Loxique comes straight from Romania and is one of the new scene' rising talent. He already has many productions to his credit. His style is rather mental. He likes intricate and hypnotic rythmics and his tracks are tainted with a groovy melancholy. His tracks are characterized by his signature smooth touch. Recently, he played at Supermarket (Zurich), Le Batofar (Paris, Fr), Le Châpiteau de la Belle de Mai (Marseille, Fr), Terminal (Lyon, France)... In Romania at TEMF Festival, Eden Club, Database Club, Gazette, Control Club...

Going deeper into Bucharest underground scene, we are delighted to present G76 in our next podcast episode. 

With more than 10 years experience, Florin Gojnea by his real name has always been a low-profile artist, avoiding the spotlight but shining through his productions or behind the decks. 

In 2015 he launched his first album “Desert Bucharest Vol. 1” in a truly authentic and independent way, making a solid mark in the alternative scene.
After breaking the ice in 2015 with the personal project, Florin started to share with the world also other projects and released on Apotek, Midi Records Romania, Anbu Music, Rituale, HPLS Records, Nervmusic Records, Tablon and publicly exposed his collaboration with great artists such Denis Kaznacheev, Laurine Frost, Mihigh, Zefzeed, Federico Molinari and Pandilla Ltd. 

His excellent mixing techniques made G76 a regular in Club Midi, Mioritmic Festival and lately Electric Castle but also took him also in front of Russian crowd for the infamous ARMA17 in Brave 2017, in London for Cymatic or Israel for The Block. 

A lot of good things to say about this artist, we are proud to have him in our podcast series.

Being devoted to the underground movement, Raha is the rare breed of people acting as a cultural catalyst around the world; with a street dancing background, Raha started in 2008 his dj carrer in Japan. A formed dancer turned dj and passionate about Romanian minimal culture.

He gave the scene of Japan a big shock and as well the Romanian scene with his invitations like RPR crew artists, Rhadoo and Petre Inspirescu to Japan for his project “Beat In Me” that has grown into one of Tokyo’s most successful parties, one of the very few that continues to stay faithful to the underground.

His work always focuses on the groove and the dancefloor, which has earned him a huge following of both casual listeners, as well as real clubbers with highly trained ears and senses.

Raha is certainly one of the few key global artists in Japan worth keeping a sharp eye on from this point forward. Romanian crowd had the privilege to listen to his music in Club Eden, Guesthouse, 3 Smoked Olives festival, Gazette 12y anniversary this month and he was also confirmed in the magical Waha Festival this summer.

We have the honest privilege to present to you a very special set, a 4 hours recording of the opening set before Rhadoo in the “Beat In Me” event from Tokyo on the 10th of February earlier this year, marking also Raha’s birthday.
