In 2006 Joe and I put out 20 short podcasts which included conversational moments from our first ever radio show, on London's Xfm, Saturday mornings on and off between 2004 - 2006. As pickings from the radio show were often slim, we'd record other bits in our own time. Even then we'd keep it short.

This first episode (our first ever foray into podcasting) is really just a couple of chunks from that week's radio show in which we swapped summer anecdotes, talked 'Euro Trip' and tried to come up with 'Crazy Frog' type trends. 

When we were at Xfm I would 'drive the desk' and Joe would do most of the talking. I would then edit the podcasts together and have fun adding sound effects and such. There's not much of that in this this first episode however. It sounds as though I either have a cold or I am hung over. Possibly both.

In 2006 Joe and I put out 20 short podcasts which included conversational moments from our first ever radio show, on Xfm on Saturday mornings on and off between 2004 - 2006. 

In this third episode we talk about Billie, Alistair McGowan's credit card fraud TV campaign, Easter Eggs, Tribute bands, an improv audition, and it's time for our very first 'strand' - 'Celebrity Regression Therapy' in which callers have to guess which celebrity Adam has been regressed into.

We also started adding extra bits, like Joe's improvised Indie song (from when Indie songs were more political).

In this fourth episode we think of new games for children's TV, Public Enemy album titles, and there's our second ever 'strand' - Crap Commentary Corner in which listeners called in to guess who was responsible for the sections of crap DVD commentary that Joe was playing.

There is also our first out and about link(this time from Chartres Cathedral) as well as more improvised indie music from the Adam & Joe band. 

Joe also tosses in the 'c' word in a rather a casual way.

The final episode (from a commuter train) includes ludicrous talking about eating smelly food in public, how to keep love alive, Dragon's Den (featuring Joe's uncanny Duncan Bannatyne impression) and a sweary trip to the zoo.

Well, there we are. It was nearly ten years ago. In a couple of years, it will be.

THE ADAM & JOE XFM PODCAST 2006 - 20

British comedian Adam Buxton talks with interesting people. The rambly conversations are sometimes funny, sometimes more serious with funny bits. Adam records the intros and outros for most episodes while walking with his dog friend Rosie in the East Anglian countryside where he lives with his wife and three children. 

Adam has appeared in films such as ‘Hot Fuzz’, ‘Stardust’ and ‘Son Of Rambow’ as well as a variety of TV shows in the UK. Since 2007 he has hosted ‘BUG’, a live show that combines music videos and comedy that became a TV series on Sky Atlantic in 2012. From time to time he also does live shows featuring just his own material. Along with lifelong friend Joe Cornish he also is one half of award winning TV, radio and podcast duo Adam & Joe who have worked together since 1995.
