So there's a fun story about this track. I was initially working on this track with another songwriter in mind and I put it down for a bit. I just recently started working on it again to finish it up and as I'm working Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" started playing on the radio and it matched the key of my song! One vocal mixing session later and you have one of my favorite Mash-Ups I've ever made. Enjoy :)

Introducing "Desert" by @slow_child: an odyssey that transports you to the mystical expanse of the desert, where each track is a sonic embodiment of its varied qualities. The calm and warm quality of an oasis with water and dates, a safe have in the middle of nowhere, represented by the first track: „Dreamer". Then also the light, adventuress feeling, when you're on a camel, traveling through the desert, the wind in your hair and a soft breeze of warm sand on your face, represented by the second track: „Wind". The desert welcomes you with a harsh and dark dimension. After a few days the traveler faces this unforgiving place on earth, with no water and the first voices in his mind. This dimension of the desert is represented by: „Welcome to the Desert". In the end the traveler faces a night in the desert. Dark and melancholic emotions, the joy of a colder surrounding, represented by „Joy". The Remix of "Joy" by Faber can be considered as the reflection of the journey. Crafted amidst the vibrant city of Leipzig, "Desert" is a testament to the artist's exploration of sound, seamlessly weaving between softness and darkness. With each track, experience a dynamic shift in mood that reflects the ever-changing landscapes of the desert and the depths of the artist's creative journey.

We chose to make a bootleg of this song as the vocal is so haunting but beautiful at the same time.   The original sample is from the intro of Alanis Morisette - Uninvited.  It is originally a dark rock ballad but we thought we could do a complete flip of this song and attempt to turn it into a Dreamy House track.   We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we enjoyed creating it!  

Sydney and Los Angeles based Classical Pianist/Composer Van-Anh Nguyen and DJ/Drummer/Producer Mark Olsen blend their two worlds together to form a unique dreamy mix of acoustic and electro sounds. Ranging from ambient soundscapes to Melodic House, Double Touch brings their live musicianship deep into their creations.

Double Touch are official All Day I Dream artists with multiple releases and performances at the All Day I Dream events around the world.Their shows are a unique blend of a traditional DJ set and live performances, adding in live keys and drums, improvising new directions into their music during their live sets. The synergy and connection between the two is contagious from the stage.

After Lee Burridge played 3 Double Touch songs in his MIXLAB NYC set, Double Touch emerged onto the scene in 2019 with their debut EP on All Day I Dream – “Adagio” which took out the No.1 releases spot on Beatport (Electronica/Downtempo) as well as appeared in the Top 100’s in other genres. Since then, they have released everything from downtempo music on Buddha Bar, through to their club style on TrybesOf.Their Chorophobia EP (TrybesOf) hit Top 5 (Melodic House/Techno) on Beatport.Their debut single “Broken Paradise was also featured on a Ministry of Sound compilation CD.
