This was made as part of an installation in May, to emanate from within the object in the picture as a 2-channel electro-acoustic exploration. The sound activated the materials in the piece so this recording will only give a suggestion of the actual installation. Try playing it loud on speakers that can't cope, to give you an idea of the distortion I was going for.

A stereo mix of a 3.1 sound field I made for this install that finished today at First Site Gallery. Group show of RMIT Sound graduates called Zawa Zawa.

I usually don't know what I'm doing until it's finished. I like to work with live instruments as much as play with tiny instruments inside computers. I prefer the gestural energy of live performance or something like that. I make sculptural noisy things too. I still don't know what I do. I like it loud and noisy as well as tiny and sweet.
