Con este track pretendemos representar muchas sensaciones. Sentimos que evoca al éxtasis emocional y la libertad que percibimos en la pista de baile. Nace mediante un vínculo muy alejado de los estándares sociales actuales formado por la devoción musical y las raíces natales de sus dos productores lavianeses a los que la música electrónica atrapó por sorpresa ya a una edad temprana.

Nos gustaría transportar a todos a esos momentos musicales en los que todo va a cámara lenta, donde puedes sacudir la cabeza entre el humo y los estrobos. Un lugar en donde puedes compartir la libertad. Expresándote sin tiempo para los prejuicios y
enamorándote del ambiente. Haciendo alusión a esos sueños en la pista de baile que hacen que te de una descarga y se te pongan los pelos de punta. Recordando esos instantes como una historia perfecta en los que el deseo y la pasión hacen que te desinhibas
de la realidad.

Baltimore’s legendary house music congregation, the Basement Boys (represented on this project by Teddy Douglas and DJ Spen of The Muthafunkaz) reunite on this special King Street ‘Mix The Vibe’ release compilation. The original Basement Boys production team was founded in 1986 and to date, the boys, including Spen, have remixed music for such esteemed major pop, rock, and R&B artists as Michael Jackson, Erykah Badu, Angie Stone, Lenny Kravitz, Paula Abdul, Diana Ross, Shaun Escoffery, Bob Sinclair, EBTB, and more!

For this compilation, Teddy Douglas and DJ Spen have selected and mixed the most choice King Street and Nite Grooves cuts produced by Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Kiko Navarro, Timmy Regisford, Mateo & Matos, Barbara Tucker, Tuccillo, Kenny Bobien, Roland Clark and more!
