I am very excited to finally unleash my Fractal Forest Mix from the incredible Shambhala Music Festival this summer! Playing on the Fractal Forest was truly an incredible experience, something I only ever dreamed of, so to be booked to play there this year was an absolute honour. I tried my very best to put together the best set I possibly could, featuring a large helping of exclusive tracks, a few classics from my back catalogue and some of my favourite tried and tested bangers! I’d also like to thank my awesome talented friends for providing a lot of the tracks on this mix - namely @wbbl who has been killing it lately, super happy to see him also making out to Canada this month!

Thank you so much for your support everyone, playing in the Fractal Forest was literally my biggest dream come true, and there’s no way I could've done it without you guys. This track featured Ojos De Brujo is taken from GAUDI's album "Dub, Sweat & Tears", a commemorative “dub release” to mark the 10th anniversary of his groundbreaking album Bass, Sweat & Tears, released in 2004 by Interchill Records. Still the label’s best-selling release, it has reached the n.2 on iTunes European chart, the n.14 in the USA, appeared on more than 100 compilations and 4 movies worldwide.
An organic fusion of reggae, nu-beat and global influences inspired by native cultures from around the world, taking the listener to a journey from Burkina Faso to Iran, from Pakistan to India, to Papua New Guinea, Jamaica, Spain, Italy, working with an astonishing 42 musicians from all over the globe, each bringing a special flavor to the project's stew. 
It received a massive acclaim from the press, fans and fellow artists alike, with Massive Attack and Pete Namlook declaring it an "awesome album with excellent production".

In Dub, Sweat & Tears Gaudi reshaped his ten years old original tracks using only and rigorously analogue studio equipment such as tape echoes, spring reverbs, valve compressors, a production technique that helped him to create a completely new sonic experience, pointing out all the obscured details, the most minute percussive rings and beeps and the most mesmerizing basslines.

Father Funk is releasing his long-awaited debut album ‘Heavy Rotation’ on his favourite day of the year – 420! Not only is it his first full record but it is also the first release on his brand new label ‘Funk Therapy’. The new album will be available on April 20th in all major digital stores across 270 countries.

After signing with legendary agency and former label Finger Lickin’, Father Funk quickly became one of the biggest names in Breakbeat and Ghetto Funk. Fresh off the back of two Canada tours earlier this year and the 1st anniversary of his own successful Bristol based night ‘Father Funk’s Church of Love’, the father has cemented himself as one of the freshest tastemakers in the UK right now.

Taking huge inspiration from the disco and funk sounds of the 70’s and 80’s he has been writing music for over 10 years having released 5 EP’s and numerous singles on labels such as Ghetto Funk, Adapted Records and Scour Records to name a few. His back catalogue includes remixes for the likes of Dub Pistols and Fort Knox Five including many bootleg remixes that have also amassed huge numbers on Soundcloud.

This debut record is the first full release that is completely original and free from his best-known sampling work. It captures the energy of the funk and soul golden years whilst combining it with modern dance music and disco culture, not sticking to one particular genre. With over 3 years in the making the father has been able to collaborate with some of the freshest names in the scene, including London rap duo Too Many T’s, Ghetto Funk legends WBBL and Slynk, Canadian hip hop group Illvis Freshly and neo-soul singer Hilary Beckett.

Speaking on the new release Will Williamson aka Father Funk said:
“I think the album is a bit of a lost art these days, and as someone who still very much enjoys listening to them, I wanted to bring back this mentality of writing songs as a collective artwork, not just as floor fillers or money makers. ‘Heavy Rotation’ is not just for dance floors but for front rooms, backyards and long journeys.
