House Of Mirrors :
Australian installation artists Christian Wagstaff and Keith Courtney were commissioned to create House of Mirrors in partnership with their award-winning creative studio Creative Production Services for Dark Mofo 2016, one of Australia’s most subversive and unique festivals.

They used precise geometry and spatial design, as well as 40 tonnes of steel and 15 tonnes of mirrors, to create their modern, minimalist twist on the fairground classic. The installation focuses on the darker side of altered perception, playing with themes of uncertainty, claustrophobia, apprehension, uneasiness, thrill, panic and paranoia.

Christian Wagstaff said house of mirrors attractions had been trapping and reflecting participants, challenging those that venture into them, both physically and psychologically, since the 19th century.

His eclectic curation at Mr Percival's and W Brisbane provides an eloquent soundtrack to suit any riverside festivity. Super Whatnot bar within Brisbane city allows Swain to delve further into his vinyl collection, selecting, downtempo, hip hop, instrumental jazz-influenced beats and many more. Following late nights within the river city, he endeavours to chase the sunset, creating luminous vibes at the Burleigh Pavilion on the coast by the beach.

His prowess as a DJ is not merely contained to a nightclub dancefloor, with his craft allowing him to create entrancing settings here in Australia, and overseas. These include art exhibitions, festivals, open-air events, boat parties, island resorts, retreats and even 'The Great Wall of China'.

Swain has built this reputation as a DJ of choice, especially within his genre of expertise — the deeper shades of house music. This has led him to support some of the most prominent artists on the global circuit such as Marcus Worgull, Vincenzo, Moomin, Kevin Griffiths, Jay Shepheard, Oskar Offermann, Steffi, Jus-Ed, Claire Morgan, MCDE, HOSH, Steve Bug, Lee Burridge and more. Some key milestones include his 2014 opening slot for Dixon in Hong Kong, support slots with Delta Sounds in Croatia, and Kolour in the Park Festival presents Sven Vath in Thailand.

As Swain has grown and enhanced his style, he has come to understand what it means to be an architect of soundscapes. His expertise in creating these exclusive sonic environments merely cements DJing as his craft. This unending passion is what Swain values the most, ranking him as one of the best selectors in the industry.
