Dear friends,
Im very proud to announce that my new full length LP "In Plastique Bloom" will be released in February 2018. It is the second full-length release by Adam Usi and also the second release on Young & Cold Records, a label founded by Marcel Leidenroth and Daniel Hallhuber (Nachtanalyse).
Pre-Ordering starts probably in January 2018. The album will be available on pink vinyl, including a high quality download code. 9 songs made it on this record. The release is probably the 14th of february 2018.
The A side of the album is dedicated to the gloomy,
dystopian soundscape, the B side of the poppy and more personal bandwidth of my music. Lyrically, again the time of the shoah, the danger of nuclear energy, the prevailing consumer society and my private grievances where treated. Cheesy stringsynths, poppy sequences and musical bonds from the New Wave scene of the 80s are among the audible influences of my second album. Artists like Gary Numan, Thomas Dolby, Visage, Liima, the Drums, Qual but also Michael Jackson were musical companions, of which I currently feel strongly influenced. Sociologists / Philosophers like Hannah Arendt and Erich Fromm are also a huge impact to my work currently.
Months and months of practicing at home, preparing different synthesizer sounds in Daniels studio, collecting ideas, writing, blood, sweat and tears went into this release. It took some time writing it, and for me, it was not always easy to continue, as I still struggle from depression. Writing music helps, but in the beginning the dark feelings still kick in. I want to apologise to my loved ones that had to get along with me, as I was not always easy to handle while writing on this LP and that cheered me up when i felt like shit. It means the world to me.
Without the help of my friends, loved ones and all the great Young and Cold members that where involved in producing this LP, I wouldnt have been able to do it. Thank you for that.
To mention some names, thanks to Daniel, Micha, Tanja, Marcel, Stefan, Mika, Ben, my mother, my brother...
I really hope that you will like what we created, and i hope that this second full lenght release will be as good, or even better, as my first one was. It´s a sure thing that its different to the first LP, but I really do hope that isn´t a bad thing.
Last but not least I wanna thank every single one of you supporting me as an artist. I love you.
