Simple Kind Of Love

I am an independent pop singer-songwriter that has been writing music for several years and releasing music since early 2018. Music has always been a passion for me, and a way to express myself. Being able to write about things like suicide, mental illness, and personal loss has helped me so much throughout the past few years.
My earliest success was when I posted a video of my song Ghost that I filmed in my bedroom to Facebook where it received a few thousand views and numerous positive responses. After this, I decided to take music more seriously and started filming videos with my classmate, Dain. Soon after that I also started recording my songs professionally, with the help of Juno award-winning Danny Patton, and my producer/friend Brian Sankey.
Within the last two years, I have been a finalist in the local Ship & Anchor song writing contest twice and was also nominated for a YYC Music Award. In January 2019 I released my first ever EP, ‘Little Green Cabins’. Upon release, one of the tracks, “Relax” was picked up by several of Spotify playlists, including the global “New Music Friday”, which helped it to receive over 100,000 streams in its first week alone. Since this EP release, I’ve been featured on Global News, CBC Radio 1, and various other media outlets and music blogs.
