Last year my Maine Coon buddy 'Jangles' was killed unexpectedly at five years old (we think a car hit him). 

If you know me, you know how much I loved that little bugger. He lived for the outdoors, so I can't begrudge the fact that I did not keep him locked away. 

I wrote this song when I was in a lot of emotional pain, trying to deal with his death. It helped me somewhat, to be fair! 

I hope this track resonates with you as it does with me :)

From the very first time i heard Hydra - Affinity many years ago, i fell in love with the record. For me it's the perfect Trance track in many ways.
Fast forward to 2014 and i found myself in a situation where i was given permission to remix the track by Steve himself.
I wanted (as most cases with my classic remix's) to stay true to the original and bring it up to date with my own techniques and style.
Myself and Steve are really pleased with the remix and Armada have even picked it up for a future compilation which will be out this year.

How do you top a trilogy starting with 'Napalm Poet' ending with 'Blu-82' and a little bit of 'Agent Orange' in-between?

In reality you probably can't, but that chapter of my career is over and it's time to move on.

I present you the start of a new chapter on Kearnage in 'An Ember In The Ashes'

This record was written for all the people out there that might not appear that much on the outside, but are truly special in their own way. They're plenty of them out there!. 

I know we ALWAYS say this, but this melody is just....... ugh! So special to me. When I was a young lad growing up in Amnesia and going to mega shows like Trance Energy and ASOT, I could only dream of being able to make music like this.

This is what I'm ALL about man! This is the Trance that takes me to another world!

Special thanks to Bryan Kearney for always pushing me and making me dig deep into my soul to make these records. Guidance is so important as a musician and it's appreciated!

I hope this record makes you lot feel as amazing as it does me!
