& (ampersand) is the collaborative emblem of adam cuthbért and daniel rhode.

& started in 2009 and has seen numerous incarnations within the Sight/Sound project, beginning as a post-rock-meets-chamber-ensemble band playing Radiohead, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and Lawrence Ferlinghetti, as well as original compositions. returning officially in 2014 from the ether, distilled to its founders in the form of an abstract electronica duo, wielding instruments like trumpet, guitar, MIDI controllers, Orphion, Ableton Push, the YouTube mobile app, and more to create dense and expansive abstract sonic landscapes, evoking a sense of space where there once was an object.
