Straight out of the gates comes the lead track, ‘Tarzan’, a bumping Tech House groove set deep in the jungle.

Next up, 'Follow The River' takes a deeper approach with soaring synth work and rolling congas.

Whereas ‘Veja' murmurs up from the depths of the Mariana Trench with a high energy roar and loopy vocals, showing a nice versatility and showcases the direction and idea for Final Futures.

This is the first of a series of releases from the label boss, along with a label mission to seek out fresh new talent that fits with his own label's aesthetic.

Uplifting pianos, psychedelic, discombobulated bleeps and scratchy voice samples… it’s the second drop that should see you sitting on Mars gazing back at that tiny, fragile blue dot, dreaming of the days you were running through forests and dancing with the butterflies back on Earth.

Final Future Season 2 begins with a departure from our beloved home for the past year at Bloop London Radio. This year we decided to embrace a new challenge and stream with a live audience in Peckham, London, with a select group lovely guests and warm hearts. And I must say, this first episode did not disappoint. The energy of everyone in the room made the whole thing worth the month of late nights researching, tech diving, configuring and conquering challenge after challenge to get this stream to look the way it did.

Final Future w Adam Gillett & Justin Margovan - 27 Oct 2023

This was my first attempt at a long-form progressive journey; a two disc approach, naturally.  I used the original Orsen Wells 'War of the Worlds' radio play from vinyl as a narration throughout that mix. My dad gave me this record; he still talks about this mix... To him it was groundbreaking, and tbh I've never seen anyone else do it this way with that record. 

The mix isn't perfect, but give it time and it might just catch you  ;)

My debut on national radio, Triple J's MixUp/The Club, which was Australia's answer to the BBC's Essential Mix.  I grew up listening to the late night weekend shows of MixUp & The Club, hearing the likes of DJ Sonique etc breaking sounds from across the globe. 
To be on that show was deeply humbling.

I learned to mix with Simon Maher (SyFi) on his Vestax turntables, and eventually bought my own Techniques in 2002.  I still remember our first conversation whilst stacking fruit and vegetables at the supermarket - "how do they match the two tracks though? Is there a click track or something?" a naive but curious Adam pondered.  
Pretty sure Simon knew what was up.  He became my right hand - we played perfectly together, feeding of each others selections as if we were one. 

And to top it off, Nicole, the shows host, played a long lost mix before our set from Sasha and Digweed.... This was their first Renaissance mix from 1994 that had just been re-released.  Like wow.... These two guys, the best in the world, were responsible for my passion for Progressive House, and we were debuting after them.  Talk about a little moment. IYKYK

A journey through progressive house as we saw it at the time.  Honestly love the sh$t out of this mix, still to this day.

In January of 2005, not long after our debut on Triple J, I was lucky enough to score a second mix played on Australia's national broadcaster, Triple J's MixUp/The Club show. 

I was interviewed live on radio for my second Triple J mix (this time a solo outing). Yes I'm sharing this cringe-worthy interview... fk it.

I sound like a stoner surfer but good laughs hearing that chill little guy with big dreams.

Didn't actually leave the country until 2 yrs later despite aiming for that year.  This mix gets a bit more alternative... Broody... With a strong finish from Infected Mushroom. (At the time, I was convinced the world of prog fans needed more Mushroom in their lives haha)

A surprisingly funky progressive take... With some really smooth transitions. Hilariously follows a more punk musical flow.  Suspiciously similar in time to when Sasha was exploring the similar sounds. Coincidence? Lol you be the judge 😉

I was full blown in love with the sounds of deep tech prog (Habersham & Darius Kohanin et al) at this point. Hard to say which mix I'm most proud of but at the time this mix was something I felt very deeply connected to. Track 3 is where things get exciting.... And the whole thing feels very cohesive, like the tracks were made for each other.

Australian born, UK based, DJ/producer Adam Gillett, came up listening to his parents’ records in the 80’s and 90’s - Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Deep Forest, Vollenweider and the Eurythmics, to name a few. A musical household; dad played piano, mum loved the guitar and his brother, the sax, later writing/performing Hip Hop.

There have been many eclectic influences on Adam’s music, including club nights and “Bush Doofs” of the early 2000’s, the deep journeys in Progressive House, rolling Techno assaults, abstract Broken Beats, high energy DnB and mind-bending Psytrance events. All of which prepared him for his discovery of deep, rhythmical 4-4 Kick Drum grooves that define much of his current creative output. 

Inspired by the pursuit of new, future reaching sounds, the endless possibilities of Ableton and a laptop... Adam found a video game better than any other. A place where time stands still, and the mind drifts amongst the cosmos. It’s in this sacred place of good vibrations he hopes you will join him. Enveloped by cascading melodies and thumping speakers, casually drawing you deeper and deeper into a late night excursion of playful dance and twisted realities.
