Hydroz (aka Hydraulix) is the Miami Electro Bass outfit consisting of AshRock & JimiTheGenius. Together they have been releasing music since the early 2000’s and continue to push their sound till today. Drawing from their childhood influences (2 Live Crew, Debonaire Records, Cut It Up Def Records, MC A.D.E, Dynamix II, etc) to create their own unique hybrid.

With 20+ releases on labels like Kuad, Touching’ Bass, Monotone, Frite Nite, Zone, etc - and currently working on new material set to be released later this year, including a new track in this mix.

Hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida, Grow (@adamgrow) is a renowned producer and DJ who embarked on his musical journey in the early 1990s. Founder of CHP Recordings in 2007, his debut vinyl release, "Electronik Milk," gained significant recognition within the electro community. Additionally, Grow co-founded the band Ohverclock alongside Kounterakt from Code Rising, resulting in multiple album releases. Grow's distinctive style encompasses cleverly processed vocals, powerful basslines, and haunting synthesizer elements. CHP Recordings has been ramping up production tenfold as of late adding new artists to their roster, and celebrating repeated success on the Beatport electro chart.      James Wolfe is a highly influential figure in the electronic music scene, boasting a career that spans several decades. He initially embarked on his musical journey as a young vinyl collector and house party DJ in the early 1990s. 

     His passion for music led him to work in a DJ store in 1995 when he was just 15 years old, further deepening his involvement in the scene. Throughout the late 1990s, James became a prominent presence in the Florida DJ party scene, performing at notable events such as the "RAPTURE" Rave and well-known festivals like Ultra Music Festival and Future Sound of Breaks. He was also a regular participant at the Winter Music Conference (WMC) from 1998 to present.
Around 1997, James made the pivotal decision to venture into music production, founding his own record label, Frajile Recordings Inc. Notably, he collaborated with David Noller, known as Scratch-D, on his debut record, the "Techtonic Plates EP," which was released in 1999.

     James's multifaceted career also saw him working as the Assistant Record Buyer and Light and Sound Room Technician at 'Dancetarium.' He began acquiring studio equipment to further develop his music production skills. Additionally, he collaborated with Exzakt to establish the group 'Resident Alien' and released several records, including "The Florida Electro Artists EP Vol. 1" and "Radio Killer."

      Over the years, James Wolfe has graced the stages of numerous cities across the United States, sharing billing with renowned artists like Carl Finlow, Anthony Rother, and Karl Bartos of Kraftwerk fame. His contributions to the electronic music scene are extensive, with a prolific catalog of original tracks and commissioned remixes that have garnered recognition from both peers and fans worldwide.

     James's exceptional mixing skills, freestyle DJ sets, and dedication to the electronic music scene have solidified his status as a respected and enduring figure in the industry. His journey continues to shape and influence the ever-evolving world of electronic music.

Code Rising is an American Electro duo that was formed in 2010 and consists of Matt Lancaster (South Carolina) and Ryan Phillips (South Florida). Over the years, Code Rising has shared the stage and worked with some of the biggest names in the Electro music scene; performing live mainly in Miami and the surrounding Florida coasts.

After a healthy line of digital releases on Monotone Records from 2010-2013, the duo saw the release of their first full-length CD "Dissemination Protocol" on their own label, Propulsion Recordings. 2021 saw the largest release from the duo yet; "A Spectral Odyssey" was released digitally via BandCamp with a whopping 18 track playlist. The ninth episode, dedicated to the famous US Electro label "CHP Recordings", is mixed by its boss himself : Grow (@adamgrow).

Florida based electro DJ and producer Grow (Adam Wilson) established CHP Recordings in 2007 with his debut vinyl release “Electronik Milk” which featured two original tracks and a remix by BFX that were all very well received by the electro community and all 1000 copies were sold. Since then, CHP Recordings has continued producing cutting edge electro music known for breaking the rules of tradition, and boasting creative ventures by all of the artists who have released under with them. Many well-known electro artists such as Fleck ESC, Ohverclock (Kounterakt of Code Rising and Grow’s band), R21, DVS NME, Anthony Nuzzo, N-Ter, Dwellz, Pip Williams (of London Modular Alliance), EKATA, Prototype, Morphogenetic, Phonotronix, Shadowbunny, and Code Rising. Over the past year Dirtybird recording artist, Mark Starr, has become the label manager and one of the key producers in new releases. He has already dropped 2 very well received remixes both charting very high on Beatport and staying there for a long amount of time, has another about to drop in late December (it can be heard in this mix) and has his first solo ep for CHP, [CHP042 Mark Starr – Body Control], slated to drop in January of 2024 (one of the tracks is also in this mix). The other key player in this next generation of CHP music is Cyborg Rhetoric who just dropped his debut 12 track album after a slew of very well received eps and remixes. Cyborg Rhetoric (Dan Cella) and Mark Starr have taken the reigns along with Grow for this next phase of CHP’s music and are dead set on elevating the label’s reach and keeping the content flowing on a very consistent high-quality basis. There have been talks with other fresh new artists who are interested in joining forces with the label so stay tuned as they are just getting started.
