Dez Williams, a producer from North Wales, who is widely known far beyond the borders of his country, has kindly shared his unreleased material with us.
Holy Island, an island off of the coast of North Wales is where Dez Williams begun spinning wax at an early age and now maintains his humble analogue / digital studio. Isolated from the marketing, fashion and pretentious attitudes that plague the music industry, Dez is free to express himself through his machines. Safe from this environment he is unconstrained and has no urge to conform with any ideal or aesthetic and thus his electronic music is pure self expression. A window into his soul. His day job at an electronic components factory means that he is no stranger to repetition, rhythm and electronics. His sound is perhaps a product of his daily grind with boredom, escapism, events in his life and a long term passion for technology, horror and science fiction. Inspired by many of the classic Chicago / Detroit / electro / techno producers, like the finest, his sound is unique, uncompromising and unpredictable. His vision of techno is deep and futuristic with a heavy dose of funk. Dez's passion for sound and the darker side of the human spirit compels him to create tracks on an almost daily basis and he sits on an incredibly vast archive of cassettes, mini-discs and CD's of his work. Yet his reclusive nature dictates that his release schedule remains sparse. His tracks can range from driving techno, to melancholy and dark synthesizer orchestrations, ghostly deep listening, straight up electro cuts and beyond. Sometimes simple, sometimes complex, within his sounds are vast amounts of detail for the listener to decipher. Emotions transmitted through mathematics and code. 
Williams' tracks have found their way into the sets of DJ's like Dave Clarke, Andrea Parker, Adam X, John Peel, Ellen Allien, Mike Dred and Rob Hall.
He has constantly retained an underground / cult fanbase. His debut LP 'Elektronik Religion' for the SCSI label was hailed as "One of the very few truly great electro albums of the new century". Dez remains true to the underground and simply creates for the love and need to do so. The mark of a true artist. He continues to DJ and play live sets worldwide and has had releases on a variety of record labels including Bedouin, Earwiggle, Trust, Minimal Soul, Warmdata, Acruacree, Ai, Cheap, SCSI-AV, Blase, Voodoo, and Ben Sims' Native imprint.

Ninechecker grew up in northern England, far away from anything cool. 
Attracted to the heavier, more underground sounds of late 90’s Jungle, Techno and Electro, he regularly attended the legendary Liverpool club night Voodoo and Bugged Out! fell in love with watching Dave Clarke destroy dancefloors. 
After years spent dancing it up London and then Berlin, Ninechecker settled in Toronto, Canada, reassembling his small studio and got on with producing his own flavour of Electro, with dashes of Bleep Techno, Miami Bass booms, broken drum machines and atmospheric sauce from his secret-sauce bottle. 
He’s released on Varial Records, Zodiac Wax, Supercomputer AV, Orson and forthcoming on Brokntoys. 
You might also catch his live hardware set currently being road-tested around Toronto and its neighboring cities.

Andreas, who ventured into DJing back in 1995, started his musical journey crafting mix tapes and spinning drum and bass in Philadelphia's underground rave scene. Currently based in San Francisco, Andreas combines his love for music with his studies in computer science. Operating under the alias Tygre (@djtygre), he immersed himself in the darker realms of electro, techno and drum and bass from 1997 to 2000. After a prolonged hiatus, Tygre, inspired by the hypnotic sounds of these three musical genres, is back to spread his passion for music, the art of mixing and the creation of mesmerizing sonic journeys. Józef Flakus, also known as Somnolent Works, is a producer, DJ and music explorer based in Upper Silesia. He is passionate about noisy electro, breakbeat/jungle rhythms and 90s techno, often with robotic and strong elements. He loves to break conventions and explore new musical directions taken from different genres of music. The gritty and atmospheric landscape of factories, mines, and steelworks of his hometown region has had a significant impact on his music, particularly in its darker and more experimental elements. Somnolent Works sound often reflects the mechanical rhythms and metallic textures of the industrial world. He is a regular member of the CEL club in Katowice and a founder of the No Photo Policy label. He already released his tracks in labels like: Ovelha Trax, SKAN Records, POTOP, Your Character, Peace Tomorrow.

After debuting earlier this year, Lost Tapes of 88 now launches a second album full of remixes and versions of the original synthwave piece. Keeping the 80s retro future inspiration, this 6 Plusten Records release assembles a quite energetic combo blending joyful and dark tracks that range from a mix of synthwave and hard rock to darkwave, synthpop, electro, IDM, drum and bass, EBM and even phonk. The album features fellow Brasília collaborators such as Kalimar Maia, Meduna, TT&G, ^L_ and also the own artist under the Quizzik and LTO88 monikers reconceiving his creations. So despite of the wide spectrum genre wise, this 8-tracker flows nicely with references shifting from likes of Eddie Van Halen to Boy Harsher, a-ha, Lowfish, Hudson Mohawke, Sub Focus, Skinny Puppy and drifter Hensonn, which sonically maintains the nostalgic revisiting focus of Lost Tapes of 88.

Artist Bio

Cris Quizzik is a Brazilian producer and DJ dedicated to experimental electronic music, electro and soundtrack composing, who started his electronic music journey in 2002 when selected for the Red Bull Music Academy, a celebrated platform that discovered artists such as Hudson Mohawke, Dorian Concept and Flying Lotus. Quizzik has also been part of the indie dance duo DeltaFoxx, which had recognition by media outputs like Les Inrockuptibles (FR) and Dancing Astronaut for its tracks and remixes released on Electronic Rumors (UK), Epidemic House Music (SWE), Brazilian Disco Club via THUMP/VICE and Crunchy Music (BR). Since 2021 he returned to his electro and IDM roots, releasing remixes for ^L_ and Meduna and four original tracks via Brazilian label 6 Plusten Records, which were supported by radio shows such as the Austrian FM4 La Boum De Luxe and Manchester´s Reform Radio Lift Music program, channels like HATELab, Tracklistings and respected IDM oriented media Igloo Magazine. In 2024 Cris unleashed his 3 year maturation synthwave moniker called Lost Tapes of 88.
