Courage My Love and I have known each other for quite some time. I did a remix of their track “Teenagers”, which was released via Warner Music Canada. It was such a fun project that I really wanted to work with the band again. I had an early version of “The Other Side” produced, which was inspired by the dance music I originally fell in love with between 2009 and 2013. Knowing the band’s aptitude for writing contagious melodies and catchy vocals, I had no doubt they’d exceed my expectations with their part of the collaboration. Unsurprisingly, they delivered, and I couldn’t be more proud of how the song turned out.

“The Other Side” is about feeling like an outsider, looking in on the life of someone you love. The lyrics describe how it feels to be emotionally distant, comparing it to the haunting of a ghost, watching from the afterlife. It’s about reaching out and feeling an invisible barrier between you and the people in your life - trying to relate, to connect, and not knowing how.

Adam Jasim is a Canadian producer, DJ, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist who has been captivating industry attention with his upbeat sound and creative flair.
