This is the start of side two from the original album. It was never an easy song to record because of the guitar riff. It also didn't have the impact that this version has. Ad was never a fan of this song, as we were about to find out 20 years later. Considering he wrote the music, it's mildly ironic. He does like this one more though. Tinges of Copperhead Road going on in here...

I wanted to get back to just me, guitar and vocals recorded live. So with the exception of the solos and backing vocals, the core of the track was recorded live. So much so that I couldn't easily get rid of the sound at the end where the mic picks up my hand tapping the guitar, so I left it in!

Simplicity is the key to this one. I rarely get chance to play the piano. Mainly because I can't. I kept the part simple, but wanted a big coda outro. No doubt I'll get John to re-record at a later stage, but for now, here it is. Roughly how I intended it….

This is musical collaboration with a fantastic musician called Rob Dimbleby. Rob is a professional and accomplished multi-instrumentalist who I have had the pleasure of playing live with on a few occasions (albeit I've been behind the kit). He's supremely talented and probably just smashed the piano part out in a spare few mins. Either way, it's great and really enjoyed the collaboration...
