My name is Adam K. Granderson and I was born in Budapest, Hungary.  My passion for music was evident before I could walk when my parents had introduced me to Hungarian folk and classical music. By age 7, I started playing the violin and performing in local recitals in my hometown.  At the age of 12, my desire for singing became clear and I began focusing my energy on my voice.  When I was 18, I was already fortunate to have had several opportunities to sing on stage and in the studio.  I caught the attention of a well-known producer and soon found myself as a member of a Hungarian pop-group ‘Picasso Branch’ in 1999, completing two successful CDs and tours.

The years with the boy-band were amazing, I learned so much about the industry and myself and I realized that I wanted to focus on a solo career.  I moved towards musical theatre because at that time in Hungary, musical productions became increasingly popular. I performed in several productions on land and in spectacular theatre shows on cruise ships in and around Europe. I especially enjoyed this period because nothing compares to performing live, in front of an audience of all ages.  Still wanting to do more, to push myself, while still developing and evolving musically, I put pen to paper and started writing my own material, using inspirations and experiences from my life. 

A great pitfall as a musician that I had fallen victim to, is that in the music creation process, I forgot about the importance of being genuine and focused on being socially acceptable for mainstream.  It took some time for me to realize the injustice I was doing to my musical creativity, understanding that a raw and honest expression of my feelings and thoughts mixed with the passion to inspire and change people’s lives is far more powerful and this is what I believe separates me from other artists.  

I am a Hungarian artist with a funny accent and an unwavering love for Pop, R&B and Soul music. Here I am, 100% honest.  I live, I love, I give, I take, I am passionate, strong but also vulnerable, positive, sensitive and yet a warrior.

I don’t like wasting my time focusing on the insignificant, life is too short, and I don’t need to seek others acceptance so I may feel better about myself. I am already accepting of myself, therefore I look past differences and accept everyone as their own unique being. 

 My lyrics touch upon real feelings and thoughts people can relate to. I want to share messages through my music, to inspire people to think beyond and to help them remember that life is an adventure. We all should enjoy the here and the now. To experience life to the fullest the best we can. This, in my opinion, is true happiness. 

 I consider my music in the genre of Pop, but truly in my recipe for music, I use elements of R&B and Soul as well. All that combined with smooth backing vocals and catchy pop melodies creates my unique sound.

I aim to stay true to myself and to my audience. My musical journey is like the journey of life: full of new ideas, twists and turns, ups and downs, constant learning and growing. The most important factor to me is staying honest to my fans and always putting my heart and soul into my art.
