I wrote a New England folk song inspired by the rising costs at UMass Cold Spring Orchard, capturing the tension between community needs and the orchard’s research mission. With simple, spare guitar and violin, paired with soulful male vocals, this track evokes the crisp autumn air and the longing for affordable harvests. I chose this style to reflect the timeless, grounded spirit of New England’s orchards and the honest struggles of its people.
