Song for my Grandpa, who passed away just this past week. He was one of a kind.

I Wanna Be A Grandpa

I woke up at 4 a.m. Couldn't get back to sleep. My mind began to flood with those middle-of-the-night worries. Everything from death to bills and back. Then, out of nowhere, I began hearing John Fogerty's "Proud Mary" -- as if somebody hit the play button on my brain. For a while I just listened. After about 10 minutes, something told me I should get out of bed and record the song. I went downstairs to the kitchen, brewed a pot of coffee, and then laid the song down on my 4 track with a Martin D-28 acoustic guitar, a Hofner bass, and two vocal tracks.  I feel much better now.
