With the remix edition of MUUI's 'Relevant Symmetry' we welcome back label favorites Mononoid and D-Nox in collaboration with Ed Steele to ICONYC.

D-Nox & Ed Steele open proceedings with their rendition of 'Relevant Symmetry'. D-Nox who needs no introduction, has been gracing the top labels of the world with his work for years, with his partner in crime Beckers. For the remix of 'Relevant Symmetry' he teamed up with Ed Steele, who has seen a steady rise to the top with his outstanding productions.

The duo created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as their restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up we have a remix from label all-stars Mononoid, known for their polished driving sound, keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh – Their transcendent touch up adds controlled calmness, but increases the groove with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

With the remix edition of 'Relevant Symmetry' MUUI once again proves that the enigmatic producer knows no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smile induced moments and lift the gloomy mood that many of us are experiencing. Created as vehicle to showcase the Belarusian’s extraordinary talent alongside an array of high-profile and rising names, Proportion launches with an eponymously titled EP with an original track from Dmitry himself plus a remix from Finnish legend, Cid Inc.

Dmitry Molosh has presided over a stellar career path. Rising rapidly to global prominence from his Belarus home, Dmitry has witnessed a steep upwards trajectory where his music has reached out across nation boundaries, engaging listeners with a distinctive, powerful and forward-thinking sound. Over 500 production credits can thus be credited to the Dmitry Molosh name as he continues to find his musical talents in considerable demand. Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Gai Barone’s Afterglow, Nick Warren’s Hope and Cid Inc.’s Replug have all showcased the Belarusian’s distinctive sound, while US leviathan Proton Music has also featured an array of original and remix material. Supported by the DJ glitterati that include Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Khen, alongside the celebrated label heads, Dmitry Molosh now opens his account on Proportion.

The title track of the same name is a stunning affair. Redolent in the trademark characteristics that have made him such a sought-after producer, a chest-thumping kick anchors a glorious, head-shaking bass groove and woodblock percussion. Ticking hi-hats add to the collage as a beautifully imagined synth motif filters its way across the 8-minute piece. A further bassline adds weight and dynamism before a stripped back breakdown creates a gateway for a rousing crescendo of white-noise and pitched effects. These then pave the way for the sultry bassline cadence and synth line so prominent in the early stages, to work their magic once more in the second half.

Cid Inc. require little introduction to the underground dance faithful. A legendary figure for two decades, the Finnish star has been responsible for entertaining audiences around the world with his immaculately crafted DJ sets while creating some the finest moments in modern electronic music history. Seeing his work featured on legion luminary imprints that includes the likes Lost & Found, Einmusika JEE Productions and Sudbeat Music, the latter saw Dmitry Molosh & Cid Inc. join forces on August 2021’s “Impending Storm” to devastating effect. Cid Inc.’s own Replug label has also been a potent vehicle for his own music while furthering the musical careers of a plethora of other artists who have gone on to become dominant forces in the global dance music arena.

An esteemed music engineer and renowned producer, the Cid Inc. remix of “Proportion” is characterised by an intricate and dynamic percussive groove that propels the track forward. Accompanied by a hypnotic bassline sequence and similarly mesmerising arpeggio, melodic elements for the original ripple to the fore in a sublime atmospheric collage. Smooth pads and white-noise flourishes build before falling away to a spine-tingling drop, as the rhythmic and bassline foundation provide a club-friendly closing section.'

Transensations presents 'Transenses Remixed', a selection of 5 top tracks previously released on our annual compilation TRANSENSES, remixed by the great artists : ANDRE MORET, EMPHI, TONACO, SIIKER, PEDRÄDA and a bonus track from GORKIZ.
Starting with "Derut" by Luciano Scheffer, released on the first volume , ANDRE MORET was invited to create a new interpretation of the track, adding crunchy rhythms over a full, rolling groove and dynamic percussive arrangements, as bonus a "Dub" version is also included on the compilation. The second track is a label managers Gorkiz & Pedräda collab released on the second volume , Antitension, remixed by the Brazilian rising talent TONACO, who created a dancefloor powerful version of the track. Next is EMPHI, returning to the label with a remix for Sensations by Raffa, adding his sound signature to the track, showing that EMPHI is a rising talent who continues to impress. The label manager PEDRÄDA, remixed The Vibe by Clivton, previously released on Miami Edition, adding a groove beat to the track, keeping the melody of the original version. Our homeboy Siiker remixed the beautiful Becoming by Francisco Castro, adding his organic and grooved beats to the track. Closing the EP, the unreleased AM Intro version of Strutter by Gorkiz , a trippy new version of the track.
This musical collection encapsulates Transensations sound, incorporating some excellent new versions of tracks that blur the labels melodic boundaries, showing a sample of the gems that the label will reveal alongside the 2022 year.

'Kicking off the first release on 2022 are label heads ‘The Journey’ where they have teamed up with Rachel May. Delving into the deeper side of their repertoire, ‘Hollow’ is extremely musical with a wide variety of elements filling the record throughout. Slowly building in typical “Journey” style with Victorian vocalist ‘Alverie’ perfectly complimenting the instrumental, this groover is a must for open air gatherings this season.

On remix duties is Tristan Case & TAYA. Hailing from Sydney and the Hinterlands in Australia respectively, both producers bring their own flavour to the original On the back of a Number 1 overall release on Beatport and 6 top ten single in the past 12 months, Tristan has already captured the hearts of a lot of listeners with his smooth and spacial production and doesn’t hold back with momentum on his remix.

TAYA on the other hand whose discography is already quite extensive with releases and support from some of the biggest artists in the world, showcases why he is one of the more in demand producers in country with a classy remix that really encapsulate his underground roots.'

'Berlin-based, Franco-German producer and DJ Franz Matthews alongside well- known happiness coach Jonathan Lehmann (Les Antisèches du Bonheur) has crafted a beautifully hypnotic EP that combines the practice of guided meditation through narration and music as one.

Collating remixes from a spread of some of the greatest minds in electronic music today, including Aera (Innervisions), The Organism (Disco Halal) and Milio (half of the duo Tunnelvisions, Atomnation) to create their unique interpretations of this pioneering project of mind and music.

Franz Matthews’s original brings a complex web of interlocking percussion rhythms that develop with unfolding synths throughout the guided meditation. Transporting us on a journey through the mind with a captivating piece of musical story-telling throughout.

Aera steps up with the first remix, carving out a spacious story that casts the spot- light onto the spoken word vocals from Lehman, combining elegant rhythms with contrasting layers of subtle harmonic movement and mind-altering synth melo- dies that engage the inner recesses of the brain.

The Organism takes things into a more percussive direction, using his archetypal sound to traverse across the planes of your mind. Off- kilter synth tones colli- de across a punchy Moog style bassline and grooving disco-tinged drum machine grooves underneath.

Finally, Milio brings his distinctive club sounds to the blend. Mixing glitching rhythms with wandering melody lines that integrate elements of minimalism and techno into a joyous and playful reworking. Milio’s distinct ability to craft memorable lines that are equally unique and quirky closes this superb remix package off with finesse.

An ambitious music video will also be accompanying this release, capturing the diversity of the Berlin club scene, and showing 25 individuals who, like you and me, are each asking themselves the same ‘question’, while being guided in experien- cing themselves and their environment throughout the present moment.'
