Spun Out Agency have rallied up their talented roster for a compilation dedicated to the sorely missed Andrew Weatherall, who was part of the agency for almost two decades. The title is also a tip of the hat to the Guv’nor. More of that Frightful Oompty Boompty Music showcases the acid, techno and house sounds at the core of the roster, which Andrew would have described as "oopmty-boompty" music.

Made up of 18 tracks, with eight of the tracks also released as a two-part vinyl package, the compilation features music from Paranoid London, Fantastic Twins, Mehmet Aslan, Autarkic, Ruf Dug, Sean Johnston, and Manfredas, among many others.

Spun Out is a London-based artist booking agency, run by Caroline Hayes for over 20 years. She looks after a roster of DJs that like to colour outside the lines, including Optimo (Espacio), Ivan Smagghe, Josh Caffe, Man Power, Body Hammer and Ellie Stokes.

With releases for Digital Soundboy, Love & Other and This Ain’t Bristol under his belt (the latter reaching #1 on the Beatport chart) and more as his drum and bass alias Kindred, not to mention celebrated production work for the likes of Little Simz and Meridian Dan, Jakwob might just be one of the most prolific producers in the UK. Now he’s back with something a little different: a brand new EP for Twin Turbo, the all-digital all-banger offshoot of Tiga’s Turbo Recordings. ‘Feel So Good’ is set for release on 1st July 2016, mastered by none other than Turbo stalwart and Bavaria’s finest Zombie Nation.

‘Feel So Good’ is a pneumatic stomper with irresistible synth flourishes and skittering hi hats that sees Jakwob crash head first into full-on peak time dancefloor territory. You can see why the track blew up at Miami this year having been handed to a select handful of DJs, and why Jakwob aka James Jacob can count Diplo, Todd Edwards, Skrillex, Busy P, Sinden, Claude Von Stroke and Justin Martin amongst his growing number of fans.

The EP also sees Jakwob revisit his recent collaboration with enigmatic London beatmaker HiFe on the rolling ‘Excuse Me’, with the pair having previously worked together on ‘People Walk’ for Love & Other. Icy, atmospheric banger ‘Skup’ and an extended acid remix from Dutch newcomer and Turbo’s newest signing TRACE7000 completes the four-track package.

Speaking about the release, Turbo don Tiga commented, “Feel So Good has been one of the biggest tracks for me over the past few months, and the TRACE7000 is actually my favorite record of the moment. Vintage Turbo party bombs.”

This was one of the most difficult sets I ever played, it was 40 degrees (I had to put my computer in a fridge before playing LITERALLY!!), the sun pointing directly into The Reactor, the sandstorms were so hard that I couldn't even see what was happening around me, and other tough stuff I can't remember now.... But this created the perfect ravy sexy sand storm I was looking for. It was a longer set, but unfortunately the conditions and some technical difficulties just let us record this, but I'm sure is quite enough to share the moment with you.

In my ribs you will see the logo of my camp (Cirque du Shlapy) that was pretty much what made it possible for me to go to Midburn, otherwise I wouldn't have a place to sleep haha but for real it was possible thanks to all their love, inspiration and support.

Mexico's Duro label are set to release the first EP from local talent Undefined Pattern, backed with remixes from Damon Jee and Jenia Tarsol.

'El Desespere' comes after Undefined Pattern's debut on the Disque Discos 'DISCORROR IX' compilation and is inspired by the stress and paranoia of living in Mexico. It features three intensely atmospheric tracks with remixes by Damon Jee and Jenia Tarsol.

The fantastic title track gets things under way on a rugged bassline and illuminating synths that speak of a busy urban metropolis. It's a rumbling disco ride that really takes you somewhere. The dark and heavy disco vibes continue on 'Estrex Humano', with its crisp hits and urgent bassline. Edgy synth loops bring the tension and add plenty of drama before 'Intenxa Salida' offers a sparser and eerier track, with dystopian, searching synths and melodic details off in the distance that suggest human life amongst a late night urban landscape.

Frenchman, MORE associate and 90s veteran Damon Jee flips 'Estrex Humano' into a slow burning and steamy disco stomper with libidinous female vocals, courtesy of Ravintsara and broad synth sweeps. Lastly, 'El Desespere' as remixed by Blue Shadow Records boss Jenia Tarsol is a chugger with big rock licks and a filthy bassline.

This is a compelling EP from the fast rising Undefined Pattern and another great package from contemporary disco tastemakers Duro.
