Fans will recognize it as a subtle continuation of Contemporary Anarchy - capturing the process of being shaped, resisting, rising, and ultimately… offering love. With its signature blend of analog percussion, FM textures, and organic field recordings, Contemporary Love dives into that space where structure collapses into emotion.

Skydrips - Contemporary Love

fka boursin is a DJ and producer out of Bristol, UK. 
Previously known as DJ Boursin, he is recognized for his deep, ambient-infused house music that explores political dimensions of clubs and identity politics.

Welcomed into the Scissor & Thread fold, fka boursin shares two cuts of deep and introspective electronic music. 

The original Listless Intertext is a hazy trip through ambient soundscapes, shuffling rhythms and half-caught conversations, drifting across a 12 minute run time that slowly evolves and shifts with time.  

"Listless Intertext is a track centred around the "failed" employment of cheap vocoder software that attempted to process explicit words and phrases across 11 minutes." says fka boursin. "Instead, the vocoder output made any words indecipherable and I was left with thematic vagueness. The final text of the track is simply a submission to its own limitations with some french thrown in."

When label bosses Frank & Tony step up for their Housebeat Dub, they keep the essential mood but introduce a thick, fat groove that works just as well in conveying the mood. 

"Our remix is a strictly dancefloor approach," says Frank, "an extended psychedelic beat rework perfect for late night, early morning vibes".

The latest Deewee release sees the Belgian brothers hook up with Sao Paulo duo Phillipi and Rodrigo, otherwise known as Fatnotronic, for a pair of road testing club killers. Experimenting with synths, European club sounds and the rhythms and textures of their native Brazil, the duo have hit upon a unique sound which has done serious damage on the Despacio sound system in recent months. A-side cut "Karma" is a playful acid stomper built out of Wink-esque resonating synth lines, circular marimbas, village square breaks (complete with church bells and loose chickens) and some solid drum programming. On the B-side, the vocal led "Gueto De Gent" drops the pace and bubbles away with a body moving bassline and sunny synth sounds, treating us to some modern Balearic beat for the slower dance floor.

As the founder, chief promoter, director and one of the residents at Analog Room and also the general & artistic director at MUTEK Arab Emirates, Mehdi Ansari has been instrumental in breathing life to the electronic music scene in the middle east. Mehdi’s bachelors degree in audio engineering nicely compliments his vast experience with artists such as Vakula , Pier Bucci and his brother Salar Ansari who has the Machine Machine project with him. 
It is through the efforts of Mehdi and his cohorts that the Analog Room family has managed to earn the respect and endorsements of some of the most influential figures in electronic music, including Delano Smith, Move D, A Guy Caller Gerald among others.

He has produced two albums, EP's and many singles under his alias SCHiLLiNG as well as numerous soundtracks for films, short-films, exhibitions and documentaries. He likes to describe his creative processas an ‘artistic contaminationʼ always striving to implement cutting edge production techniques and technologies.
His main musical inspirations come from the UKʼs electronic music of the late 90ʼs/early 00ʼs like Jungle, Dubstep, Nu-Garage, Brokenbeat, D&B, which he blends creating his own style of music.
