#28 Conditioned

Just Say No + Bonus Muva Moment + Black Community vs. Health/Mental Care

In this episode of #ADaydreamersPodcast, I, Erin, spearhead the conversation. We start the show with K'Shana letting everybody know that she is no longer pleasing other people and sacrificing her happiness. Then, I give a rollerblade update (it is not as easy as I remember), and we jump right into why Black people are scared to be labeled and refuse to go to the Doctor.

As you listen, here are some things I want you to think about:

1. "No" is a complete sentence. And sometimes saying "No" is what is needed to make you happy!
2. It isn't always up to you to fix things. So, naturally, women want to aid and help but don't carry that burden, girl! All you are doing is causing unnecessary stress and inserting yourself into matters that ultimately have nothing to do with you. 
3. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH RECEIVING HELP!!! TAKE YOUR BUTT TO THE DOCTOR/THERAPIST RIGHT NOW!!!!
4. Black Doctors, should I have one? Do I need one? Is it odd that I never had a Black Doctor? Is something wrong with me that I don't seek or prefer to have a Black Doctor?

Sometimes, when life begins to life  (again), you have to find joy in the simplest activities, like attending a tiny people's gymnastics class or finding a diamond at a thrift store. Join us on A Daydreamers' Podcast as Daydreamers Erin and K'Shana openly discuss the overwhelming and unique events that consumed their lives. 

K'Shana shares her recent adventure with her little one at gymnastics. She also asks that you pay close attention to your gym or workout facility. She hits on why it is a struggle to find and attend a specific workout class that, under the surface, caters only to particular demographics.
