The overwhelming feedback made us extract this track from an initially scheduled EP and release it as a standalone single to give it the attention it deserves. When @ramiofficial and I heard the original vocals of Closer to You, we immediately thought of different ways to switch up the song and give it a different up-beat feel yet keep the emotions flowing through the vocals. We made sure to keep the record as mellow as possible with the use of live instrumentation and punchy house drums. We had a great time working on this collab together, we hope you enjoy listening to it as well!

I finished up this remix to one of my favorite Lane 8 songs earlier this summer for a remix competition on his label - This Never Happened. Working on this piece of music was a needed distraction right in the middle of my quarantine blues, as I felt stuck working on my own stuff and dealing with the uncertainty in the world around us all.  It didn't win the competition, but I wanted to share for my friends and fans. All credit to the man himself - Lane 8 - for giving us younger producers a shot.
