Halouzka’s sets take initial direction from the austere nature of techno, obliquely referencing industrial music and noise, this approach is layered with sensual rhythms, playful vocal elements and frenetic percussion with the intention of extracting a kind of hyper-real communion and the induction of bodily transcendence. Halouzka is a Berlin-based DJ whose background in ambient and experimental music informs a heightened awareness of texture, mood and dynamic which is perfectly on display in this mix.
