I love how creepy this sounds, it nails that feeling of "something's off", y'know?

This sounds like a song that would play in the background of one of blameitonjorge's Lost Media videos.

Hopeless is a roleshift AU inspired by the harsh aesthetic of Underfell, and "Mark of Fate" is its Deltarune equivalent. The harshness of the character's personalities altered the status of both the Light and Dark World, leading to a very different kingdom from the one we know.

I've seen Deltafell Susie handled in two ways: Either she's a total sweetheart or she's just an edgier version of herself. So Mark of Fate mixes the two.

Susie keeps her role, but her relationship with Kris has changed. She's still a real tough kid who's not afraid to break the rules and pick a fight, but she cares about protecting her friends from the nastiness of this world, particularly her best friend Kris. So she'll still happily bite off a face...but at least this time it'll be an evildoer's face specifically.

(UPDATE 7/4/2023: Replaced a couple instruments, removed a couple percussion elements for the sake of a more "consistent" tone through the piece, adjusted a bit of mixing here and there, and re-rendered as a 16-bit WAV file!)

Yet another simple track that I'm honestly *very* shocked no one tried to touch before! The base transcription was incredibly easy, and I had a TON of fun fleshing this out and adding things to it.
