So what kind of music do you make/play?" Over the past few years it's become hard for my friends and I to answer this question. Our impulse is to list a paragraph worth of different genres (electro, jungle, trance, techno, breaks, ukg/two-step, juke, IDM, etc.) that help paint the picture of the range of style, energy, and bpm that we like to present both as DJ's & producers. It only felt right to highlight the insane musical diversity of our friends/favorite artists with a humongous underground club compilation. This rounds out part 3 of our "5 years of Fantastic Voyage" series and gives a taste of where we're going, moving forward... voyaging into the depths of outer space :)

UK artist Ben Walsh returns to Street Tracks armed with a potent two-tracker titled ‘Roadrunna’.

Alongside his output on Street Tracks, Walsh has also been busy releasing across a range of other imprints, including DPE and NozZo, and most recently on Lapsus Music.

Walsh gives an insight into the new single; “Roadrunna” is something new from my recent productions. Fresh back from travelling around Australia for the past 6 months, I've been enjoying adapting and exploring new sounds, and I feel this single showcases that. The A-side “Roadrunna” has that flowing deep baseline which aligns with the sharp drums and percussion. A catchy vocal and an electric synth line keeps you pinned in the track. The B-side "Bring This Down" gives a powerful flair to the release with its gritty baseline and breakbeat style drums. Again, a catchy snapshot vocal and a heavy synth line creating that peak time atmosphere, I feel it really aligns well with the track.”

Australian DJ and producer Blake.08 makes a triumphant return to Anjunadeep with his latest offering titled ‘Eyes Ablaze EP’.

Following his label debut earlier this year with his ‘High Fidelity EP’, Blake.08’s talent caught the attention of renowned artists including Solomon, LTJ Bukem, Ben Pearce, Joris Voorn, and more. Blake.08 continued to impress when EP's title track ‘Eyes Ablaze’ was featured on the flagship compilation 'Anjunadeep 14', quickly becoming a fan-favourite from the album.

Throughout the three-track EP, Blake demonstrates his versatility as a producer. ‘Eyes Ablaze’ is an incredible reinterpretation of Blue Foundation’s cult classic single ‘Eyes On Fire’, which gained prominence from the 2008 Twilight film. ‘Low Vision’ captivates with its intricate melodies whilst EP closer ‘Dance With Me’ features driving percussive laden-grooves and evolving synths.

The 13th release on Aviary Recordings is a very special addition for our founder Aves Volare. He started this label with a sound intention to create a platform whereby new unknown artists could be heard. The analogy was that we would open cage doors and set birds free to fly ie. a label that would give chances to those who wouldn't necessarily find a way to get their music heard in the hope it gives them a push in the right direction, if their music deserves it.

So the reason we find it very fitting to have such an established artist such as Jamie Stevens join us on the label is because Aves was mentored by Jamie for nearly a year when he lived in Australia, which gave him the chance to fly with his career as he is now.

This collaboration began in 2018 when Aves was going for weekly music production lessons with Jamie. About six months into this, Aves presented the framework of the title track Stranger to him and the usual process was for Jamie to critique and show Aves ways to take his productions to the next level. With this project, Jamie heard something that inspired him and asked Aves to collaborate on it. A feeling Aves would never forget to have had this kind of approval for his creativity.

Two years later and we present to you a very inspired and detailed project that has received a lot of attention and love. We would love to hear your thoughts and opinions along with your support if you're feeling the love they were made with.
