Jaded & Addliss - Sunray

A more than 10 year old song by singer/songwriter Enno Bunger has always been on my mind. This melancholic song is lingering in my mind everytime I try out a new piano or a sound or something. And it touches me again and again.
So lacking a voice recording I just arranged the instrumental part and cut it so it doesn't get boring in the verse (which is repetetive due to singing as the main part).

Enno Bunger - Regen (Instrumental by Addliss)

Part 2 of my piano series is Dirk Maassen's "To Fly". Dirk Maassen is one of my favourite pianists and he is able to build worlds around his music. Everytime I hear his music I feel beamed into another dimension.

My interpretation of "To Fly" differs a bit from the original. I played it more flowing, while Dirk plays it more hesitating. Also I changed some notes here and there which happens during playing.

Dirk Maassen - To Fly (Played by Addliss)

J. S. Bach is one of the most influential musicians that ever lived. His "Welltempered Clavier" is well known all over the world promoting the welltempered tune after Werckmeister. The foundation which we still use with all our keyboard instruments.

So I had to play one of the most famous instrumental pieces - the Preludio in C. If I can catch up, I will try one or two Fugues from the Welltempered Clavier.

For now enjoy my interpretation of the Preludio!

Johann Sebastian Bach - Preludio in C (BWV 846)

Back in the 2000s Andrea Ribeca &amp; Giuseppe Ottaviani aka Nu NRG (Nu-nrg) became legendary. They produced a lot of influential works and shaped the sound of Trance music - with the help of Paul van Dyk giving them the opportunity to release on his label Vandit. Later on Giuseppe Ottaviani became an icon of Trance and he still is.

I started producing a remake of one of Nu NRG's best tracks with one of the most beautiful melodies back in 2010. But I couldn't figure out the right sound. Especially kick, lead synth and percussions have been a problem for me, but now I think I produced a consistent sound combination. Tell me what you think!

I will give the track away for free as a tribute to Andrea and Giuseppe. If there's any problem with that, please contact me and we will work something out.

Redeemer (Original Mix)

Today I stumbled upon this really old gem I produced together with two friends back in 2007. We published it on our own the year after and still today I think it's a pretty good production, yet not the best we could to today. But back then it was a great step forward for us considering what we had produced before.

So you can listen to the whole track now, but it's still for purchase on Google Music or else. Unfortunately I didn't find the cover in full quality anymore, so I had to take it in bad quality. Maybe I'll replace it one I have found the original.

SDA - Do you see the light (breaking through the clouds) (Club Mix)

This is a track from 2014 I recently found in my pocket and I don't really know if I ever put it on here. It's not my usual style - it's influenced by Apparat/Moderat and has some obligatory piano in it. Maybe you'll like it. :)

Worn Out Places [Free Download]

I've worked on this one pretty quick: It took me only one week to finish this remake of the iconic Trance track "Free Fall" by Nu NRG back from 2004. The name giving track of their album, also 2004, was part of so many unforgettable nights - for me and a lot of other club goers all over the world!

Now it comes in Ambient/Chillout style which I thought would really fit the beautiful melody Giuseppe & Andrea created back then!

After consulting Giuseppe I can't give this away for free, but he allowed me to upload the track here.

At the end of 2014 Steve Helstrip aka The Thrillseekers held a remix contest. Normally I don't participate in this kind of competitions, but this time I tried to take a chance at a great original track. My friend Magdelayna even won third place with his Chillout remix, now he got the release on Adjusted Recordings! Everything That Is Left [Out 29/02/2016]

Back in 2001 Jens Ebert released this Hard Trance classic on the label EDM Trance. Just yesterday, as I was scanning my vinyl collection for classics I found this one and thought to myself, it needs an update.

I took my "Perfect Blue" template, so please don't expect a completely unique sound. Also the build up is similar to my "Perfect Blue" rework. But just made this one for fun and I hope, it fits the purpose.

All the uplifting Trance lovers know the 2008 tune "Time To Rest" by Andy Blueman. He resigned as a Trance producer but he certainly has produced some of the most inspiring tunes in the scene with a unique sound and touch. I took one of these and tried to make my own version of it. While playing the piano more and more again, I have played some movie scores. I've always loved the "Forrest Gump" movie score and here is the main theme, the feather theme. Don't tell me it's not perfectly played (like a pianist could), I know, but it's a beautiful piece of music!

The latest piano tunes I recorded have led me to playing some faster stuff and "River Flows In You" is just a flowing melody. Don't expect me to know or like the books/movies that have afterwards been linked to the piece, I merely love the music this Japanese composer wrote.

There are 2 or 3 points where the recording isn't perfect, but I'll accept that for now. :)

Yiruma - River Flows in You (Played by Addliss)

In November or so I recorded "Una Mattina", but hesitated to upload it, since it was not perfect. It still isn't, but I recorded a pretty good version and I'm satisfied for now. Maybe you like this version since it's a bit different from the original.

On a side note I found out, Einaudi mostly sounds good with very bright pianos. The mellow pianos don't fit most of his music.

Jaded & Addliss - New Tomorrow

Addliss began to DJ in 2004. First starting with Trance and later adding progressive sounds. He played at some parties across northern Germany, the recently well noticed "Trancecube" event and several times in Berlin, Lübeck and Essen at different events. His classical background causes his understanding and feeling for music which you can hear in his sets playing electronic dance music as well as chillout.

Over the years he also came into producing, resulting so far in remixes for the renowned artists like Ingo Vogelmann or FloE. Addliss has released with several labels like Dirt, Lies & Audio, friskyRecords, Kalimira Music, Condura Recordings or other sublabels of Redux Recordings and there's more to come!

His show "Waves" on FRISKY is representing his smooth, chilly side with chillout tunes, while the show "In Between" represents the dance beats between Deep House, Progressive House and Progressive Trance.
