Empty Halls

This is my band The Poor Clares. The song is called Swan Dive and was written by lead singer/guitarist Mat Winkelman, featuring Johna Gray on cello , and Adé on violin.
There are a few problems with this recording(like the annoying presence of the metronome) but I wanted to put something from us up.

Originally written for and performed by the late and Great Billie Holiday this is one of my favorite songs and one of the most important songs to me historically. I cover it in tribute and in reverence to those who have paved the way for me today.

My rendition of another song originated by Billie Holiday. This song is all about loving someone completely no matter what they do or how they mistreat you. I decided to keep it pretty simple much like I did with Strange fruit I went with a simple jazz bass line and jazz drums. I layered up myself on violin to give it a some what haunting and dark quality. I hope you like!!

An homage to Giorgio Maroder. Called Nebula 2. This song was fun to write because I wanted it to be all about space so I got an astronomy dictionary and went to work.
