BSUK was founded by singer/songwriter Adelaide Mackenzie in October 2007. Originally starting as a monthly open mic night, it fast became known as London’s the number one show jam and open mic - where anyone could come and “Bless up the Mic or Chill if you Like.” Previous artists include: YolanDa Brown, Rachel Kerr, Ruth Brown, Jaz Ellington, Shakka, Fuse ODG, FLOetic Lara, Andrae Melody Palmer, Marsha Garrick, J Marie Cooper, Lawrence Rowe, Michelle John, Sherry Davis, Marie Dalhstrom to name a few; as well as established artists such as Omar MBE, Don-E, Kele Le Roc, Lurine Cato, Native Sun, Glen Scott, Jahaziel and Isaiah-Raymond Dyer. Now in their sixth year, BSUK vows to continue to serve as the leading platform which celebrates the diversity and creativity of British music.
