BLOCKLAB makes a commanding debut on Infernal Sounds with the Friendly Fire EP, unleashing their full production arsenal in a heavyweight, gritty, and refined package.

With previous releases on respected label White Peach, this move to Infernal Sounds feels like a natural and formidable next step in their upward trajectory.

The title track and collaboration with Thematic, 'Friendly Fire', throws you straight into the heat of conflict-blending raw intensity with anguish through a bass-conjuring mainframe and razor-sharp, tech-driven mid-range tones.

'Phuketsk' follows as the second cut on the EP, delivering a hard-hitting step and relentless stomp that highlights BLOCKLAB's razor-sharp production finesse and unyielding energy.

'Lonely Toy' takes a more spacious approach, layering toy box tones and rich atmospherics to build a whimsical yet haunting soundscape. As the track unfolds, it lunges into a forward-rolling wave of euphoria-only to pivot on the second drop, revealing a more subdued and shadowy dimension that demands full attention.

'Panic Attack' launches you headfirst into a frenzy of bass punches and sparring mid-range chops, delivering a chaotic yet controlled storm of sound. It's another example of BLOCKLAB's signature SFX evolution and precise progression, keeping the pressure high from start to finish.

'Dead Moon' closes out the EP with a stripped-back, hi-hat-snapping rhythm and undeniable swagger. It's a minimal yet confident finale that lets the groove breathe, ending the project on a cool and composed note.

This track was born out of collaboration with @q100-beats — our different visions sometimes crash, but that’s exactly what challenges us to make more music together.
Action is about energy in motion, rawness, and courage to leap. It’s chaotic, it’s dancefloor, it’s the human drive. Often times in my life some actions are very intuitive and I just follow the process, like I never had a precise strategy how to release the album. While writing this I’m setting up the Bandcamp pre-order so you can get this track now or wait until the full thing will be released on 24.09.2025. I’m still working on distribution issues as I have been waiting for reply from @soundcloud since August. Believe me, I’m in action, q100 is in action too.
