With his latest EP, It's Cancelled, featuring diffused electronics on the A-Side and menacing drum infestations on the B-Side, Serge Geyzel keeps pounding beats and bass into oblivion. Adepta Editions expertly compiles these recordings onto vinyl and digital media, emphasizing timeless limited editions. While "Take Your Time And Be Mine" deftly walks the line between Plaid-infused melodics and Clark's shuffling rhythms, "Before the Silence Came" features fuzzy electrical sound fields that eventually collapse, while Serge Geyzel crafts his distinctive characteristic textures. With percussive acrobatics and synth strands floating away, "Come Closer" bookends the A-Side. 

Conversely, "Renamed" kicks a hole in our bass bins with its rough outer shell that combines parts of MBM and DHS staccato beat work (listen to Man From Mantis on Love Love to compare and contrast). It seems like Geyzel has flipped a mystical switch and gone completely drum focused. "It's Cancelled" ends with an avalanche of glitchy blips and bleeps covering the landscape with rough and funky rhythms, while "Out of Context" continues to push low-wobbling dub limits with rapid fire beats, bass, and distortion.

For this occasion, Adepta Editions presents this new work on a 12" vinyl, available in a limited run of 300 copies with three finishes: 200 unts Standard Black, 50 uts White, and 50 uts Clear/Marbled. The coloured vinyl will be available on our Bandcamp and the Black ones on Clone.nl starting June 6th.
 
Serge Geyzel, a Berlin-based artist, transcends musical boundaries by weaving together classical and jazz influences. Originating from Saratov, Russia, Geyzel immersed himself in classical piano for twelve years before embarking on a transformative journey to Israel in 1999. It was there that he discovered a profound passion for jazz, igniting a new chapter in his musical odyssey. Enrolling at the Jerusalem Academy of Music, Geyzel delved into the world of jazz piano, captivating audiences with his trio performances and diverse ensemble collaborations. Venturing beyond the realms of traditional music, Geyzel delved into the realm of electronic music production, experimenting with innovative software to sculpt distinctive sounds. His exploration yielded remarkable results, setting a new standard in musical production. Since relocating to Berlin in 2014, Geyzel has immersed himself in the city's electronic music scene, infusing his compositions with a fusion of early 2000s electronic elements and contemporary aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from analog synthesizers, drum machines, field recordings, and original samples, his music blends poetic layers with dynamic electrical rhythms. Serge Geyzel's recent releases have found a home on esteemed labels such as Science Cult, Mindcolormusic, Touched Revolutions, Brokntoys, Pulse State, Mechatronica and more, solidifying his position as a pioneering force in the electronic music landscape.

When Aljoscha's father placed cassettes of jungle, ambient and drum'n'bass in the hands of his seven-year-old son, he had no idea that he had just passed on to him the soundtrack of his life.

This heritage of multiple textures has been transformed into multiple aliases, including AJO, a character who transcends the boundaries of genres and time.

Signed to labels such as Electric Shapes and Mana Abundance, AJO invokes tribal elements and inter-astral electronic sounds. A primitive, almost animal quest dances between the German producer's synthesizers.

His new album, ‘God Is A Single Infinite Painting That Has No Frame’, adds to his psychedelic ambient and EBM-tinged electrooid explorations. Four remixes by YADÜ, La Serpiente, HyperLili and Théo Muller add an even more contemplative dimension to this opus, released on Ethos Records.

The debut release on Miras stems from co-honchos and long-time residents Atrice. Their musical work is heavily inspired by the uncanny interplay between the tangibility of digital stimulus satiation and authentic real-life encounters in an increasingly disconnected world. Atrice’s compositions have a strong focus on detail, which originates from their academic formation as sound designers. However, the key to the Zurich-based Duo’s production is their playful approach to established genres resulting in emotive soundscapes and energetic amalgamations.
On the three tracks this approach is perfectly mirrored through a hybrid of sultry House, hard-hitting Breaks and neck-bending Gabber. The EP kicks of with the title track "J.A.-Ris", a contagious homage to early Jungle with tight basses and witty Juke inserts. The deep pads enter like a windy thunderstorm on a humid summer day, momentarily taking the light from the sky. It’s followed by the second composition "Give Me", which moves between Breakbeat and House with a futuristic sound design. It penetrates through the darkened clouds and lets the first sunrays shine on the asphalt. A slight smell of Petrichor underlines the dystopian moment.  Lastly "Demorado" enters with many familiar facets, which however are being completely turned on their heard over the course of the piece, reminiscent of a spellbinding whirlwind. It is characterized by Gabber, IDM and Drum'n'Bass influences with cinematic gestures and complex drum structures.
