Kashovski & Abel Ray combine for a new single on Get Physical Music. 'Baby' is the follow-up to Kashovski’s 'Bad Man‘ earlier in 2024.

Kashovski is an artist based in Paris who has been putting out his distinctive house sounds for more than 15 years. Whether playing in New York City or Hong Kong or releasing on the likes of Snatch! Records and Space Motion Records, he always blends Afro, deep and tech inspirations into something fresh. After his last well-received track here, 'Bad Man,' he returns in top form, this time with Abel Ray, a versatile DJ, sound designer and producer who was born in Casablanca.

Their wonderful 'Baby' is both driving and club-ready but high on soul, thanks to the well-treated R&B vocal sample that soars up top. Snappy drums, tribal congas, and a unifying bassline all bring extra detail to this characterful house sound, which is sure to be a huge hit this summer and beyond.

The brothers Fognini aka @mindagainst return to Life and Death with their new single Love Seeking released June 20 (digital), followed by the vinyl on August 9 with a remix from friends and fellow masters of the emotional dancefloor Âme.

It’s fitting that techno storytellers Mind Against should revisit the home of their first EP with a revamped sound and turbo-charged take on current-day disco. Their history with DJ Tennis and Life and Death is almost as old as the label itself, harking back to their days living together in Berlin.

Now the brothers leave behind their signature hypnotic techno palette for a boogie-fied stepper that’s equal parts pop breeze and deep synth trip, full of hopeful anticipation. For the remix, Innervisions duo and cultural tour-de-force Âme twist the knobs and stretch out the heartstrings for an extended slice of big room goosebumps.

In the words of Mind Against themselves:

“10 years after releasing our very first EP Atlant on Life and Death, we’re excited to come back to our first imprint with such a special track and remix by Âme.

We’ve stepped out of our usual comfort zone and done something that can be both linked to our own musical world and to the sounds that Life and Death have evolved in recent years.

Our friendship with DJ Tennis is about as old as the label is, bringing us back to the times we used to share a flat in Kreuzberg. One may say this release is both an ode to the past and to a bright future, full of promises.”

With over thirty years in the game, DJ CHUS is a true veteran of the dance music scene and a pioneer of the organic tribal Iberican Sound, as well as the label owner of Redolent and Stereo Productions. The Madrid-based DJ and producer has also won numerous accolades for his productions, which have come on high-grade labels such as MoBlack, Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, Defected, and many more. Now, DJ CHUS closes out the year with an epic debut on Junior Jack’s Adesso Music as he drops a remix of KeeQ x Talón’s ‘Magic Touch’ single, delivering a drummy, late-night workout that fuses organic rhythms, fluttering synth work, and chopped vocals.

We are thrilled to welcome two rising Afro-House stars to the label. Nes Mburu is a Kenyan vocalist best known for his stunning single with Alex Wann, "Peperuke". Urmet K is an Estonian DJ and producer who now lives in London. He is best known for his huge streaming success, "Oceans Of My Mind" remix (for Lazarusman & Kaldera) and his DJ-friendly Go Deeva release "Fallin". On "Menyerere", the two combine for a deliciously driving percussive groove from the peak-time Afro playbook, Nes' soaring vocals perfectly complimenting Urmet's hypnotic workout—a sizzler.
