Fully wrapped up in those brilliant soundscapes from the very beginning and going in crescendo as we move forward with rigorous transitions. An accurate and detailed slow build up until you start smelling ‘the club’ or better said ‘the badly missing club perfume/aroma’ and consequently, seeing the jerky and bouncy silhouettes dancing in the strobes. Dancers appearing dark against a temporary visual imprint caused by a brief exposure to high-intensity light levels and a constant surge of pleasant sound waves. 

Brussels Adhémar is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works. Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and light, his music is closely linked to his plastic work. This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light.  

He is also currently working on a new side project with Olorun (IDO Records) as a duo called Aucuba Replica to showcase sounds that can combine organic and artificial elements and experimental sides of Techno music.

His work has appeared on labels such as @lett-records, @kvlto-records, @oslated, @aardenrecords, @huinalidub and @secuencias_temporales

Stoke to present you last contributor of 2021 in the person of Adhémar: the french artist/producer/Dj gifts us with a set oscillating between liquidish sound distortions & poetic brush strokes, including various unreleased material of his own. The tight percussions, the reverbing drums leave space in between rythms to sober, near meditative atmospheres. The botanical genus Aucuba includes species of shrubs native to Central Asia or Japan. The premise is that plants can be multiplied and reborn almost identically yet each individual remains unique. This idea of multiplication and artificial landscape defines Aucuba Replica, as an emanation of both the individual practice of the Duo, by collecting sounds that combine organic and artificial elements, bringing out the possibility to perceive landscape as an audible geography."

PRIOR ACT #040  — Adhémar

Our next installment of the mix series was created by the extraordinary producer, DJ, painter, graphic designer, and the person behind Adhémar and half of Aucuba Replica, Clément Davout. 

We wanted a mix from Clément early on. His works are like instances of mastered calligraphy, emotionally rooted into the intuitive understanding of human cognition. His exquisite sense of style, meticulous production, recognizable sonic palette, and sensitivity to the smallest details make him one of the Delayed all-time favorites. It seems like everything he puts his mind on never disappoints.  

For this mix, Adhemar reworked all the tracks and did special edits to make it unique. Delicate with a flawless flow; opening up, yet introspective. It spotlights all his signature elements and is mesmerizing in a balance of engagement, relaxation, and unwinding. We fell in love with it right away and honestly think it is one of Adhémar’s finest creations. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!🌱

"An invitation to Relax"

For our fourth podcast we welcome Adhémar. A very talented French artist whose work you'll have heard on Oslated and Aarden records.

Please read his note :) 

"This recording is an invitation to relax  and relieve any tensions. 
You can follow the instructions below. 
Stay in Shavasana for as long as you want - let go !
Lie flat on the back with the arms about 15 cm away from the body, palms facing upward.
A thin pillow or folded cloth may be placed behind the head to prevent discomfort. A rolled up blanket can be placed under the knees, heels still touching the ground, to relieve low back tension. 
Let the fingers curl up slightly.
Move the feet slightly apart to a comfortable position and close the eyes.
The head and spine should be in a straight line.
Make sure the head does not fall to one side or the other.
Relax the whole body and stop all physical movement. 
Become aware of the natural breath and allow it to become rhythmic and relaxed".
