Next up on Vapour Recordings we have a massive EP from the founder of onesixtwo recordings - Tripswitch.

Nick Brennan joins Vapour Recordings for his first solo outing with the label with this magnificent moody and emotive track - Dose. This track was brought to our attention late last year and it was one we just had to have for the label. Full of lush chords, a warm moody baseline, simple and memorable synth line and a brilliant overall feel to it. This track has been a statement track in Kasey Taylor's sets recently.

On remix duties we have many people that need zero introduction. First up we have Argentinian legend Hernan Cattaneo who is one of the labels biggest supporters returning to Vapour again for the 3rd time, this time teaming back up with Marcelo Vasami who also returns to the label. This powerhouse duo deliver an uplifting peak time take on the original mix which rocks the big rooms.

And also on remix duties we have Columbian powerhouse and legend of a DJ in Kamilo Sanclemente who teams up with Brazilian rising star André Moret. These two also deliver a stunning version of the original mix making this package irresistible.

January 13th sees Riva Starr’s acclaimed Snatch! Records return with the third installment of their popular compilation series, entitled ‘In Dubb Vol.3’, ahead of their upcoming showcase at Mexico’s The BPM Festival at Playa del Carmen’s Salon Salsanera Raices on January 11th.

Following their sold-out party during 2016’s edition of the festival, Riva Starr and Snatch! return to the prestigious event once again, this time seeing Starr headline alongside Spain’s Dennis Cruz, Germany’s rising House talent Emanuel Satie, Italy’s dynamic duo Paul C & Paolo Martini and Miky J. 

To coincide with their showcase, Starr has meticulously handpicked 15 exclusive tracks - from some of Snatch! Records most promising artists - to appear on their forthcoming compilation, which aims to provide a taster of what people can expect to hear at their highly anticipated event plus reflect the ‘dubbier’ side of the imprint. 

Nico Cabeza’s excellent deep-groover ‘Heavy Body’ kicks off the release, and makes way for further highlights such as Joe Red and Kostha’s pounding Tech-House roller ‘Vladimir’, Click Click & DJ Glen’s pulsating synth-driven ‘Birdhain’, the tribal-tinged ‘At The Club’ by A.S.R and Ruben Mandolini’s gorgeously soulful House number, ‘Sweet As The Sun’.

In addition, the compilation also boasts a fine array of dancefloor-ready cuts from Italian artists Riky Ild, Squicciarini and Roberto Surace, America’s Dateless, Tech-House talent DJ Fronter, DJ/producer Franz Costa, dynamic duo AleVtina & Rich Hila, Canada’s Daniel Dubb & Jonathan Rosa plus the UK’s Muirdel and Allen (Italy) & Filix.

Overall, ‘In Dubb Vol.3’ perfectly highlights the kind of talent that can be found on one of Dance music’s most celebrated House labels, providing an excellent soundtrack to set the tone for what promises be an exceptional showcase event from Starr and his team in Mexico.

The beginning of 2017 sees the debut of Rowee in the electronic music scene as the new alias of prolific Italian DJ and producer Leonardo Gonnelli. Welcomed into the fold by Damian Lazarus on his Rebellion imprint, this first release features three tracks collaborating with esteemed artists Thomas Gandey, KnowKontrol and Simon Wish.         
 
Opening track Earth To You, was produced alongside award winning British electronic producer, live artist and vocalist Thomas Gandey, renowned for his work with David Byrne and Fatboy Slim. The track is delicately energetic in its groove, rolling through deep atmospheres and sensual vocals. Gandey has released on some of the hottest labels including Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Desolate plus collaborations with Radio Slave, which include the album project Matom on Carl Craig’s Planet E. 
 
Disguise pushes a more tech house sound, featuring vocalist Dwayzo Lawrence aka KnowKontrol who has appeared on labels such as Saved and Keinemusik. Rowee explains, “this is a song about deception and trust in a relationship, both parties know the other is lying but they pretend everything is ok. It’s an amazing vocal interpretation surrounded by analog synths.” 
 
The EP closes in a collaboration with Italian native, U.S based Simon Wish, whose productions can be found on labels like Cocoon, Traum and Sleep Is Commercial. It Shows You is a tightly constructed deep groover, packed full of energy with an acid bassline that makes this track another real weapon for the dancefloor.
                                       
Fresh from his release on Seth Troxler's Play it Say it imprint and nominated in the category of Best Track at Vicious Music Awards, Leonardo Gonnelli has demonstrated his exceptional talent as a DJ whilst playing at worldwide events such as the legendary Space Miami, Pacha Buenos Aires, BPM Mexico, Dockyard Festival (ADE) in Amsterdam and Sonar. 2017 marks the start of a new chapter as Rowee, promising a bright future of what is yet to come.

Sincopat welcomes back the exquisite and forward-thinking style of HearThuG. The Tunisian talent gives one more step into his unique sound presenting three original tracks forming this 'Acid Tears EP' which includes also a remix of the great and colourful Berliner Bebetta. HearThuG music has reached a high level in the last months and this EP proves that constant evolution. 'Crossroads' (premiered on Melodic Deep today) is a super organic composition whose synths are bubbling along layers of different patterns. Working on this extraordinaire leitmotiv, Bebetta does her best introducing new percussion and an evolving bass to the menu. Dancefloor madness is confirmed with this version of the German artist with the touch she gives to the breakdown. 'Smiling Despair' is probably the most conceptual track of the EP but on the other hand it will have also a huge response in the clubs. Last but not least, 'Acid Tears' is offering a beautiful symphony over a hypnotic and strong rhythm. HearThuG's journey keeps its path and it sure will last.

Italian producer and Fine Human Records label head Dino Lenny lands on Crosstown Rebels for the first time this November, bringing his distinct and personal style to the label on the absorbing Doctor, also featuring a remix from Nuiton.

The haunting, emotive vocals of Dino impress throughout on Doctor, chugging groove moves alongside waves of dark electronics and panic-struck, devilish synth. A track crafted to capture the inner workings of Lenny’s mind, transforming them into a hypnotic piece. Nuiton remixes Doctor on the reverse, adding energy to the original with skipping hats and quirky arrangements, building tension that reaches an intense jazzy crescendo of percussion and brass to leave you in a headspin. On the digital release a dub version loses the voice but retains the mysticism.

With almost 30 years of releasing records under his belt, Dino Lenny has naturally built an incredible back catalogue of remixes and collaborations. He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the business, yet his productions retain a unique style that is all his own. A true lover of the 80s, when he needs that extra touch he will add his vocals to the music, always trying to deliver something original that will stand the test of time, often opting for imperfect unique experience over precise emotionless never-ending loops. Alongside this, he has remixed huge names like Missy Elliott and Timbaland and has collaborated with legends including Madonna, Wu-Tang Clan, Seth Troxler and Dixon. Ukrainian DJ and producer Lessovsky touches down on Highway Records with 3 cutting edge original tracks.

'Destiny' leads with an amalgamation of deep brooding bass tones, bubbling percussive hits and a string lead at its core whilst ethereal stabs and resonant leads ebb and flow within. While 'White Feathers' see's Lessovsky team up with Bakay for a journey riding out with elongated subs, sweeping atmospheric chords and soundscapes and a bell sequence, dynamically evolving and unfolding around an organic drum groove, legato induced bassline which drives the intelligent composition throughout.

To complete this masterful package 'Lefter' from Lessovsky and Bakay's is a perfect storm of ethereal synth soundscapes and intricate punchy beats which create a mind-melting groove that spirals its way around an underlying deep, driven 4/4 beat.

Heading to the flip side, head honcho Mike Spirit is back once again keeping up the prolific remixing strategy tracks for his label. This time he teams up with Thierry Tomas for the remix of 'Destiny' the pair subsequently deliver a synth-soaked melodic techno number which plays out as a distinctive, low-slung roller, simmering with superbly restrained bubbling energy, that subsides in a masterful arrangement.
