This set is a compilation of songs and beats that I have worked on over this past year. Some of the tracks feature my friend Hans on guitar and two other tracks were created by Nahnandamide (a very talented man/my other brother).

It was Friday night. It had been raining for almost 3 days straight. We were tired, cranky, and fresh out of fucks. Then, the skies cleared, the music started up, and we vibed it hard until the break of dawn. 

Here's the first release from Ironic Spin 2022 - RVH (aka Rick Van Hassel) starting to bring our spaceship back down to earth at 3 am with this pumpin, funky, and deep techno set.

Otherworld 2022

RVH - Friday Night @ Ironic Spin [Otherworld 2022]

The rain was pouring down and not a soul could be seen at the stage.    Slowly, they emerged, looking a little wet and a lot tired.  I made it up onto the stage scaffolding and team members started trying to get the generator working.  I was living on infinite patience and low expectations and it worked for me.  I wiped down their rain spattered mixer and allowed myself to enjoy the moment.  It made me smile.  

The generator (their second one?) started humming and a thumbs up appeared!  I pressed record and it all started.  The rain dissipated and the sun started shinning!  The beats and the sunbeams brought the people out to the stage and it happened!  It was such an honour to start the vibe at Ironic Spin.

How lucky I am to share music in the beautiful space with the beautiful people at The Really Lost Penguins?  Not only did they have the best homemade ginger whisky bevy, they also had the best smiles and sweet friendliness to match.  THANK You Really Lost Penguins!  

This set was intended to be fun, entice people to remove their shoes and venture into the "ice igloo."  I hope you have as much fun dancing to this as I did playing it out.

Being part of the music scene for over 2 decades, Löblová made her DJ leap to the stage at a perfect little festival in the Cowichan Valley in 2018.  As an emerging West Coast DJ, making a name for herself locally and beyond, she is known for sets offering something a little different and always from a place of musical inspiration.  Often weaving traditional and natural elements, Löblová's sets range from downtempo, afro/deep/organic/melodic house techno and trance, deep & dub techno, with a current healthy obsession of breakbeat and melodic drum & bass.  Enjoying many genres, she is excited to curate each sound journey tailored to the specific theme and energy for the event.
