Hailing from Aarhus, Denmark, C.K is the main man behind Safe Distribution and its affiliated labels, such as PRS and Help Recordings to name just two. He has been known to release under a variety of different monikers, including the ambient-focused projects 3.11 and 355.11125. C.K is also part of several collectives, namely 2 Bit Crew, Maizena, and the infamous Regelbau crew, alongside Manmade Deejay, DJ Sports, Central, and more. A keen digger, C.K has a never-ending desire to find new music (and old) for his DJ sets. Whether performing solo or back-to-back, C.K is known to represent the relaxed but recognisable sound of all the labels and artists surrounding the Safe crew – usually with a nod a bit more towards the euphoric soundscapes of Dream House, with bouncy basslines and luscious melodies. ‘For home use only’ is an anti-club social, a chance to get to know someone/something. A series of transmissions purely dedicated to exploring the other side. 

As the cold hits harder than ever before, it’s ever more important to add another layer, both mentally and physically. This audio guide is a sure way to light that fire. Walter Saint is the person in question, a man with a firm grip on the axe, dropping trees to fuel this warm sojourn. 

Walter Saint aka Connor Mackenzie grew up on Gadigal land, it’s where he sharpened his axe, and after a trip to the UK (to sharpen his axe further) he’s back in Eora (thanks covid). Whilst abroad, he caught the ear of London based ‘Bloop’ radio’s director and was quickly made a part of the team, taking up a role as editor and his own show on the channel, dubbed  ‘pacific house’ (TIP!) which keeps him busy to this day.  Now back in Eora full time and making moves on this giant chess board we call life, he’s carving his own way through his masterful approach to DJ’ing as well as working his ass off on a release coming later this year, and damn, this mix is sensational; further proving the hard work Connor has put in over the years, and what he’s truly capable of. 

Personally, I feel as though Walter has gone through my life with a shopping trolley and picked out all the premium produce that has soundtracked all the ups and downs for as far back as I can remember. So many damn hits that bait random emotions back into existence, and I know I’m not alone in this. There’s something special in here that’s going to make everyone feel something, and chances are, that it’s going to be closely related to (thesaurus: ecstasy, hope, elation, bliss, etc). 
The talent displayed in weaving this tapestry is another story all together. Beautifully natural in every way, all these tracks fit together so perfectly that one day they will base puzzles on it. The pure essence of cafe del mar brought back to life in such a spectacular way. Go buy a bag of beach sand from Bunnings, light up a shitty coconut candle and mix up a Margarita, then press play, I-BEE-FAH.
