Third Son's relationship with Selador started back in 2015 with 'How I Feel' on our second Showcase Compilation, quickly followed by a superb remix for Justin Massei and the epic Darker Side Of The Moon EP and he has since been an integral part of the label's growth. This year not only did he play at one of our label parties at Space Ibiza in it's final season and at our Showcase at ADE together with Sincopat, he also released the wonderful Trigonal EP with us and remixed D Nox & Beckers track, 'Salt'. It's a love affair that shows no sign of slowing down. We love him. He's one of our boys :-)

This exclusive unreleased remix is provided  by SEQU3l, one of India’s finest up and coming whose music has previously graced such labels as Movement and Juicebox. He’s a good friend of Third Son and wanted to deliver his re-interpetaion of ‘Trigonal’, and so, here it is, just for you, our second Christmas gift. Fill your boots!

Our 29th Chapter showcases the versatile talents of British artist JOBE with the heavy-hitting ‘Changes’ EP.

JOBE - previously responsible for one of Chapter 24’s biggest-selling tracks ‘Aurora’ - has released as widely as Akbal Music, Connaisseur and Steyoyoke. On this occasion, he serves up a balanced four-tracker combining cosmic, afro and techno influences.

‘Rafari’ is the opener. Marked by characterful sound design and swirling disembodied tribal voices creating a strong sense of disorientation, the track is held together by the hefty and assured drive of the main groove.

‘Anomaly’ showcases a more considered side to JOBE’s production and marks a shift of emphasis to harmony and composition, as layers of synths swell skywards before their satisfying return to earth.

Meanwhile, ‘Boma’ is a return to the tense, cosmic afro drive that is bound to set dancefloors aflame, before title track ‘Changes’ rounds things off with a powerful slab of progressive techno.

Four stories in sound that demonstrate JOBE as being totally unconcerned with the constraints of genre, and entirely fixated on creating music that is both timeless and forward-thinking.

Based in the world, made in Berlin and powered by the audience: this is Einmusika Recordings. Founded by label boss Einmusik end of 2008, the imprint has grown to a large family with members from Beirut, Toronto, Madrid, Amsterdam and many more cities. To celebrate 10 Years of it’s creative journeys and visions, Einmusika asked some friends and highly respected musicians to pick their favourite track from the past 10 Years for a very particular remix. 

So this time we’ll bring ya „J’oublie“ remixed by Olivier Giacomotto - a big dancefloor number. Dave Seaman remixed Tim Engelhardt’s “Vega“ and this one stays in your mind for hours. 3000 Grad founder Mollono.Bass comes with a new version of “Multiple Life“ by Einmusik - one for the hot nights and the festivals around the globe. We asked Julian Wassermann about his fave Einmusika track and he picked “La Danse Du Scorpion“ by Sébastien Léger - the one which made the clubs shaking in 2017 and is now putted to the next level with a darker attitude and clubby sounds. Space Motion is becoming a master of powerful dance floor remakes, and now he brings a new brilliant cover of one of the most emblematic film scores in the history of cinema: Requiem for a Dream. 

With an amazing tribal drum work, hypnotic arpeggios and obscure atmospheres, Space motion is able to re-create the film score in such an organic way that it seems that the original soundtrack was made to fit perfectly his timeless beats. The breakdown is recreated note by note, using synth sounds that bring you directly into the movie score, with the added tension and groove that comes with every Space Motion track.

Making his original EP debut for Proton Music in summer 2018, Stas Drive provided a triumphant moment with his twin-track "Abyssal". Returning to the title track, remixes from the Netherlands and the UK provide another slice of magic.

Comprising the combined talents of Andy Godderis and Igor Shumlyanskiy, Mononoid have been a watchword for high-calibre production work since a remarkable debut remixing Microtrauma for the globally renowned Traum. As the Dutch pair continued to grow in stature, their inimitable production talent and "unique mixture of cinematographic and melodic techno" has found them featured on a plethora of blue-chip labels. Indeed, a clutch of original work has continued to appear on Traum while Click Records, Einmusika and microCastle have been regular suitors to the Mononoid sound, with the "Dreambox EP" alongside Navar, providing a notable highlight for the latter. 

A quartet of remixes for Proton Music for the likes of Kobana and Matter have shone a very bright light on Mononoid's talent as they now return to remix Stas Drive. Immediately impressing with a glorious percussive groove, played out through delayed claps and head-shaking hi hats, a smooth sustained chord filters into sonic range before blossoming alongside a huge chord sequence and rasping bassline. Elements from Stas' original make their mark at the mid-point in scintillating delayed fashion and Mononoid's skill is to take "Abyssal" in a new and exciting direction while retaining a strong influence from the original.

UK pair, Trilucid, together with collaboration partner, Phil Martyn, have ridden a wave of success since their debut release for Perfecto Black in March 2017. Both hugely successful artists in their own rights, almost a double century of credits for the likes of Glasgow Underground, Anjunabeats and Black Hole can be found against the Trilucid name. Similarly, Phil Martyn had achieved considerable success with his Philthy Chit pseudonym before moving into "a deeper more progressive/techno influenced sound". Indeed, a host of high-profile releases for the likes of Perfecto Black, Coldharbour and Global Underground have testified to that success. Coming together with tracks featured on Toolroom and Zerothree, the trio hit the Particles headlines in December 2018 with their "Gone" EP.

Now debuting on Proton Music, Trilucid and Phil Martyn continue their impressive form with a standout remix of "Abyssal". Framed by a glorious stripped back ticking percussive groove, a delightful new motif based on Stas Drive's melodic elements gradually enters into the sonic foreground backed by a rich array of additional production material in new percussion and growling bassline prowess. Intelligently reworking the original, the Trilucid and Martyn interpretation bristles into life in the second half with captivating sinister menace and spine-tingling emotion.

Remixes from Mononoid, Trilucid and Phil Martyn have kept Stas Drive stirring from the deep.
