For this week's @DarkScienceElectro we take a listen to AC Records release of a track by @Biodreadempire - Finnish producer Biodread has been making music since the late 90s, trying out all kinds of genres, including Electro. Then in 2012, he started focusing more on Electro with the Biodread project. He released only a small handful of EPs on @x0xrecord, the aforementioned AC Records, and self-released a full-length himself.

Venture Silk is a Ukrainian-born electronic music producer and sound designer currently living in the Netherlands. His journey into music began in the early 2000s when he learned scratch technique and started to dj in Kyiv. Being a self-taught person he is constantly developing his musical taste and improves music production skills. Despite the fact that his music is direct in it’s genesis and influence, there is a whole narrative behind the musical creation. Conceptually, his music sounds similar to Detroit electro and has a breakbeat energy with techno flavor.

Exactly one year after my 2022 release entitled 'Agitation Propaganda', I return with a collection of new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2022 and early 2023. This 20-track album, as the title suggests, is a tribute to the love affair that I have with making music. In 2023 I celebrate my 40th birthday so I thought it was good timing to release a concept album that pays homage to the one true love that I've ever known- Synthesis ♥️

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

The artwork for the album was done by the brilliant artist Kelly Gilleran, who also just so happens to be my long-term girlfriend. She is a pattern designer, painter, and illustrator. Her work can be found here: www.kellygilleran.redbubble.com/

It's a cosmic liftoff with the mind warping sonic sounds of 'Planet Destroy'. Radioactive Man's funk fuelled remix has an infectious 303 bassline that takes the listener on a jackin 'journey. On the flip side 'Exit Now' moves into driving hypnotic synths with sizzling percussion throughout. 'No Future' dips the dancefloor into a twisting wormhole of intergalactic grooves. The EP closes with the dark dystopian synths and extraterrestrial layers of 'It’s Only Lies Around Me'.
