2022 has unarguably been a great year for Electro both with overall visibility for the genre as well as with the sheer number of quality releases being put out over the course of the year. This was also a year in which I took a break from my show and handed DJing responsibilities over to DJ friends from around the world. Couldn't be happier with how the year turned out for the show. I feel like It was a busy year both production-wise and promotion-wise for @DVSNME and @DarkScienceElectro respectively, however, I found some time to put together a mix of my favorite 22 tracks from 2022. We are honoured to have someone who's really been a bastion for the electro scene and a real inspiration over so many years...we're going proper electroid today so you better be ready to go robotic with DVS NME.

Stoked to host this bubble poppin' and electro shockin' mixtape with one of the masters of the game.

@dvsnme is an Electro music producer/deejay and Post-Punk enthusiast living in Colorado. He runs a daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' which features news, live sets, guest mixes, upcoming shows, and throwbacks, as well as a weekly podcast that publishes every Friday on Soundcloud. The weekly radio show has aired since 2010 and was previously broadcasted on Illegal Connection Radio, Buenos Aires Sound System, and Intergalactic FM every Friday at 20:00 GMT.

He is also an accomplished and prolific Electro music producer. With production techniques ranging from software to hardware and everything in between, and spanning a multitude of genres, he has been producing music since 2000. He has collaborated with the likes of Franck Kartell, Das Muster, MetaComplex, Koova, Faceless Mind, Komarken Electronics, Deemphasis, and more. He is an artist representing Transient Force, Solar One Music, Blind Allies, Pulse Drift Recordings, Ukonx Recordings, Mosaique Records, Fanzine, and more.

Step into the world of Lloyd Stellar, the Dutch electro producer (Erik Griffioen) behind the mesmerizing machine-like beats and vocoder-driven vocals. As the owner of LDI Records, Lloyd's music delves into the unknown, exploring futuristic and dystopian themes like the consequences of man's greed and the relationship between humans and machines.
In addition to his studio recordings, Lloyd Stellar also gives live performances with his modular synthesizers, blending pulsating electro rhythms, adding another layer to the experience...
Lloyd has released music on top labels such as 20/20 Vision, Brokntoys, Science Cult, Avoidant, Hilltown Disco and Gated.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- Two EPs coming this year on Exploited Records and on Wave Function Records.

Which artists/labels are more relevant to you now?

- Plant43 is the electro artist i like the most these days.

What inspires you now to create music?

- I get inspired by messing around with my synthesizers and listening to music.

What set-up do you use when creating music?

- In the studio these days I mainly use: Vermona DRM1, Korg Prologue 16, Roland SH101, Roland JV2080, Roland Jupiter Xm and a bunch of Eurorack modules.
For my live set I use a whole lot of Eurorack modules and two 1010Music Blackbox samplers that are filled with loops of beats from my tracks. I use a modular Eurorack setup, because it is small enough to take with me in a backpack.

Bio:
Label Owner, DJ & Producer aka Energy No13 & InerVation
Mike Griffin got his start in the electronic music industry in the mid-1990s, first producing and subsequently mixing. He's played many parties and clubs in the South Florida area, making electronic music under the aliases Energy N°13 and InerVation, and now owns the EC Underground label, shop, and radio broadcast.

Energy No. 13 is the name behind the South Florida native who grew up listening to rock and metal music. In the mid-1990s, he entered the electronic music scene, where he began by producing and quickly advanced to mixing. Throughout the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, several older tracks were released on Myspace. In South Florida, he has played at numerous after-hours events and clubs. Mike Griffin began making electronic music under the name Energy No13, later changing his name to InerVation to encompass a wider range of genres. He is now the co-owner of EC Underground, a record company with many disciplines in the business, including retail stores and a distribution hub for multiple labels from overseas. EC Underground (WECU) can be heard on Mixlr, a broadcasted radio station dedicated to the most avant-garde genres of electronic music.
