This month's mix is by yet another unsung legend of the San Francisco scene - Ken Vulsion aka Ken Woodard! I first met Ken in the late '90's when he was working as graphic designer for the Hardkiss Brothers' label Sunburn. Since then I've come to admire his design work as well as his incredible DJ history - whether as globetrotting DJ with appearances at Horse Meat Disco, Optimo, Cocktail D'Amore, NYC Downlow and so much more, or as co-founder of queer DJ collective Honey Soundsystem (and person responsible for its incredible design aesthetic) as well as local bear disco bash Go Bang!, not to mention his return to Acid House alongside DJ Spun as Acido Ahora. Ken is currently holding court at neighborhood haunt Underground SF, where Idle Cellars are posted up every Sunday afternoon for new Balearic venture ÜBar and regular appearances at new weekly evening party End of Day at Hawthorne in SF. We're so proud to present this wonderful mix of chilled-out classics and new jams alike, but I'll let Ken introduce the mix himself:

Basing himself in Tokyo, Kouki Shinada also known as Mr. Disco Kid started his love for music around his mid-teens collecting deep obscurities in Soul, Jazz, World and handfuls of House. Kouki later began his career dealing records and Djing. Sitting in the Pacific North West of Oregon, Rev shines is situated in Portland and began his feel for music early on working at Jump Jump Records. Rev is also a third of Hip-Hop group Life Savas, dropping their first album in 2003. Delve into this firm back to back selection recorded in Tokyo earlier this year.

With records released on Sleazy Beats, Boogie Cafe, Omena, Futureboogie and more, Admin's music is a testament to the bedroom producer ethos - making tracks which just as easily start the dancefloor as hypnotise the home-listener.

Whether DJing percussive-heavy disco and boogie, producing jazz-tinged house, jamming with drum machines and keyboards for beat tapes, scouring for new label releases or soothing listeners on independent radio, Admin executes everything with detail and affection.
