I had the pleasure of playing a show in an old historic church in Colorado Springs a few days ago for Flow Deep, presented by my lovely friends at Flow Ecstatic Dance, Somatic Frequencies, & Subcaste Sound. This was one of my favorite live sets I've ever performed and I'm glad to have recorded it. Shouts to my good friend Kial // Future Ancient of Sub Pressure who I played alongside with, Rio Cruz of TopLift Media Group for the live visuals, Jon Watt for photographing the event, and all of the vendors and attendees for making this night such a special memory. Then, with the solo track 'Open Case', the artist takes us back to the golden era of Dubstep, delivering a weighty production that resonates with fans of Deep Heads and Dubstep music. The beats and hard-edged bassline take center stage, creating a powerful and compelling experience.

The EP continues with two more captivating cuts: 'mystery' and the title track 'star gaze'. These tracks boast tight drums, loads of bass, and mesmerising melodies that will transport you into another dimension. It's a brilliant piece of artistry that fits perfectly with the Smokin' Sessions vibe.

The nice planet has garnered support from renowned sources such as Deep Tempo, Brewster B, James Locksmith, Matt The Alien, and NTS Radio's Tim Parker.

Recently we were reached out to by Ineffable Records, based out of Mexico City, Mexico. They sent their newest project, which is the Nesstrak - "Mudskipper" EP. We were blown away by all four tracks and are excited to premiere this spaciously hypnotic track entitled "Muggin". We really love the rich sound design, prominent and wobbly sub movement, and the tension between phrasing. All of the tracks are amazing and we are stoked to feature Nesstrak on AE again, long time listeners may remember his track "Hemi-Sync", which was a free download from us four years ago. This EP is definitely one you need in your collection, and we're looking forward to hearing more from Ineffable Records in the future.

Unrivalled Sounds #16 Dubstep/140 Selection @ The Underground Lair

Back once again, Germany's own Split returns to After Dark Music [ADM] following his recent debut Australian show hosted by the label. The Savannah EP is what we've come to expect from Split, a five track exhibition of mastery at 140 beats per minute. Built for late night sessions and heavyweight sound systems, this one hits with all the creativity and inventiveness so often characteristic of Split's production.

The title track, Savannah, features cinematic vocals and a moody melody that paints landscapes in your mind. Expressions rides the same wave, bringing a starkness and pensive depth. On the other hand, Steel Grind is a certified weapon: pure grit and relentless pressure. Meanwhile in 7 Down we get the best of both, with rolling bassweight alongside brooding and ethereal textures.

Rounding it out, L Nix takes Split's classic Ganja Anthems and flips it into a groove infused stepper... ragga flavours intact, but with an energy that's seriously fresh.

This is proper 140 pressure crafted for the heads, built for the dance. ADM continues to push the underground forward and Split's Savannah EP is a testament.
