"Epoch Dawn" is a musical journey set in the land of fantasy and make-believe. Stepping out of the shadows of the past, a bright orange light hits your eyes as you slowly gaze up into the sky for the first time. Vibrant colors melt into the majestic landscape with large rugged mountains and eagle-talon-like rocks coming out of the sea of evergreens leaves you in nothing short of complete awe. Morning bells sound in the distance harmonized by the serenity of nature with a wondrous chilling breeze from the east heightens this surrealistic experience.

"Epoch Dawn" represents a new chapter, a clean slate, and a new beginning full of adventure. Each song is carefully arranged and crafted to maximize drive, power, dynamics, and emotion with meticulous use of the acoustic orchestra, percussion, choirs, and electronica to create something new, fresh, and epic. "Epoch Dawn" is made to inspire listeners with hopes that the listener will experience the music at the same level as when the songs were written.

Narrativa para a música: "Abismo".
Musica nº 15 - junho de 1991

De pé, próximo à beira de um penhasco, na cidade litorânea de TORRES, no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, contemplando as ondas de um mar bravo, batendo nas pedras pontiagudas lá embaixo, onde a água do mar adentrava uma gruta formada na base do penhasco; neste ambiente sombrio e solitário, alguém envolto nas suas reflexões sobre a falta de sentido para a vida; poderia pensar: salto ou não, no "Abismo".

Depois, durante a fase de desenvolvimento da composição, muitas vezes a inspiração mudava para o cenário de um morto, assistindo o seu próprio enterro, que ficava observando seus parentes e amigos, hipócritas, fazendo elogios e enaltecendo as suas qualidades, que nem mesmo ele sabia que as possuía.

Para esta composição, precisei alterar o som da melodia no teclado sintetizador Roland D-70, para que o som ficasse mais agudo, e o ataque e o seu decaimento combinasse com o andamento da música.

dos brains, trailer and production music house proudly presents the debut solo album “Elements” of german-based composer Dirk Ehlert. 
After more than one year in the making “Elements” takes you on a sonic journey through time and space, history and future, darkness and light. 
Dirk interweaves his musical history from symphonic metal with his experience of being a successful trailer music composer since more than 5 years with influences of world music, classical music, electronica and film scoring.

“Elements” features world class vocal performances by Úyanga Bold (Hans Zimmer - The Dark Night Suite @ The Masterpiece Experience, Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch), Celica Soldream (Neal Acree, Ivan Torrent), Laurie Ann Haus (Todesbonden, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty) , Gaby Koss (Haggard, Nota Profana and Equilibrium), Merethe Soldvedt (Two Steps From Hell, BrandX) and Julie Elven (Neal Acree, Ivan Torrent) as well as Cello performances by Vesislava Todorova (Bulgarian National Radio Orchestra) and Caro Teruel (Venezuela).

The album was produced in Dirks studio near Berlin, Germany and mixed & mastered by Mathieu Hallouin, France.
