Artiste qui base son univers autour des 90's, Stupid Child façonne son style musical grâce aux scènes berlinoise et australienne. Dans ses sets et productions il accorde une importance toute particulière à allier esprit rave, vibes trancy et ghetto house.

Groovy Resonance 01 : Stupid Child

Inspiré par la musique électronique des années 90, le producteur parisien @michel-ange-music aime expérimenter, allant de la Trance à la Techno des 90's, avec l'intention d'aller de plus en plus vite.
Fortement influencé par la Techno de son enfance, il ne cesse de faire danser les gens avec cette ambiance old-school et énergique.

@aaland is a France based artist, he describes himself as a bedroom producer under his alias Haaland. Rather discreet and spontaneous, he wanted to leave his comfort zone since Extendo. Technical, selective and precise, the rest is up to you.

Groovy Resonance 03 : Extendo

The seventh instalment of Virtual Utopia is a 68-minute trip through the known (and unknown) cosmos; piloted by London-based 'Mademoisel'. A high speed pursuit which turn supermassive stars into needles of momentary light that disappear behind you almost instantly. A mix of driving space-trance and globular rollers, which will communicate more to the 'others' than any signal from the electromagnetic spectrum ever could.

Accelerating through chromatic corridors of a blurred existence, eventually you reach an open expanse of neuron-like structures. Electrical currents whirr and glow overhead as you travel at steady speed through the network of fibres; 'Where am I?' 'Am I inside the human brain?' 'Is this the structure of the universe?'

Travelling onward into the depths of space as paint-flicked stars decorate the distance; the interconnectedness of everything 'out there' accentuates the correlations and similarities between our universe and consciousness. Exploring the cosmos does really emphasise the concept of a macro/micro-cosm.

You program the machine to a much higher speed (2.2x10^7), the engines give a deep, metallic growl and the throttle propels you backward. This vessel is optimised for entering warp speed and maintaining stability.  Through the darkness and scattered lights, planets of various colours and conditions rip past you and remind you of your tremendous velocity. This is a voyage through the expanse of our existence; to explore the rocks, gases, lights and vibrations that made us what we are.

Various refuelling stations are set between the tunnels of assisted acceleration, which connect all districts of the nebula you're in now. They are of a clinical, utopian aesthetic of perfect white and frosted glass, warped reflections of panel lighting reflect from the chrome of the other docked vehicles. Once the robotic assistant has completed it's process, you undock and proceed the expedition.

You max out every dial on the control panel of the vessel; halos of light flicker around you as steadily  increasing g-force keeps you firmly in your seat. As you pass the speed of light, pulsations of energy shiver through you as  your past visions and memories bleed into your peripheral. 'Is this the sensation of going back in time?'
At this velocity, the boundaries between dimensions dissolve and you hear the abstract conversation of incomprehensible 'beings'. 'Who are they?'

Maintaining this speed you reach an end-point; of what only can be described as the 'Mirror of Existence', where a spirit of yourself is looking back at you. A conscious duplicate 'clone' stares inquisitively and reaches out their hand.
'Is this me?' 'Or is this another me?' At some point this universal version must cease and another parallel begin, perhaps you have found it...

Virtual Utopia 07: Mademoisel

Nés dans les années 90 et trop jeunes pour participer aux premières raves, les @s7rens77 ont l'ambition d’approcher avec modernité une musique qui les a fait fantasmer. 
Dans ce set ils défendent une vision énergique de la nuit : entre l’euphorie des raves 90 ’s, la modernité des rythmiques de la techno contemporaine et les mélodies de la trance.

Groovy Resonance 04 : S7RENS

@CHOREOPHILA is a Berlin-based DJ who has been part of the local nightlife scene for 10 years and started mixing a few years ago. Translated, CHOREOPHILA literally means "love of dancing," and this passion defines his sound: a cross-genre journey spanning from groovy techno to bouncy trance and uplifting house with a clear influence from old school electronic music scenes. All in the name of making you move your body!

He is a resident DJ at @HRA and recently founded his own podcast and event series called "Juicy Culture"

"For the end of the year, I recorded a festive mix with loads of vocals (as usual for my mixes), heartwarming melodies, and driving percussions. Most of the tracks are old school (progressive) house tracks, spiced up with some modern tracks that fit the vibe. Enjoy!

Astral VIP (and more) are here to remedy the monotony! by rehashing what you’ve already heard? but alas, no one is perfect. Outliers and outcasts have always created pockets in the mould of the city, smoke and wubs away from the lights and hammer. This collection of 14 tracks comes from such a dent, representative of different scenes all dedicated to this approach, coming from dank corners, away from big business.

Our offering is a tribute to the mix CDs of dance before (Global Underground et al), with AVIP’s very own Dugong on the 1s and 2s blending contributions from analogous crew into one continuous mix. Future-past made present, for potentially discontinued CD drives. For the sake of tangibility, in times that surge ahead regardless.

All profits from this compilation are being donated to 3EZWA Legal Fund, to help financially assist those facing draconian legal fees as part of the current protest movement in solidarity with Palestine & Lebanon.
