Utopia Society presents: Utopia Tapes, a collection of podcasts from the most relevant artists who have left their mark on our project. This time we have Mäem.

Mäem is a young techno promise, born in Ciudad Real but based in Madrid, Spain. This artist discovered his passion for electronics very early, from the beginning he knew that techno was his genre. His personal selection is the result of combining his classic references with the most avant-garde sounds on the scene.

Vidění (Shaded Explorations | Circular Limited) began to experiment with mixing records at a very young age, attracted by the role of a DJ as a figure disseminating new sounds, an attitude that is shown in his current perception of music.

In constant search for sounds that have not yet been heard, he immerses himself in the infinite world of variants in electronic music, until he finds his current passion for mental, hypnotic, deep and ambient constructions.
His sound can be defined as an enormous ocean of textures directed by unconventional rhythmic structures in which light, darkness, tension, organic elements and an infinity of emotions coexist.

Young Italian dj & producer currently based in Barcelona, a very talented artist to keep an eye on him for the next years.

Ossifer is a techno artist hailing from Baltimore and based in his adopted home of Montreal since 2011. Specializing in overtone-heavy, polyrhythmic styles, he is known for his hypnotic, atmospheric productions. Along with Stereo_IMG, he is part of the production and hybrid-live duo Dissembler, with releases forthcoming on labels such as Diffuse Reality and Trau-ma. He also produces events as a member of the Exposé Noir collective.

Mod21 is the project of Manuele Chiaravalloti, an italian electronic music producer and experimental sound artist. Born in Satriano, Italy, his musical journey began in 2007 when he moved to Switzerland. Here, after 7 years of musical research, produces his first two works released on the Munich based label Prologue. His music emerges from a deep and rich imagination which flows into sounds dark and slippery that seem to be born in the bowels of a parallel world to ours. Browsing increasingly abstract concepts of sound, carefully processed , the result is a particular footprint easily recognizable.
