Dieses Set bedeutet mir unfassbar viel. Es hat mich meine ganze Kraft gekostet, die letzte Kraft, die noch in mir steckt. 

Die letzten Wochen waren die schlimmsten meines Lebens. Es gibt kein einziges Wort, was dieses Gefühl in einem ausdrücken kann, wenn man einen Menschen verliert. Es gibt kein Wort dafür, weil es einfach nur eine eiskalte Leere ist. Die Sehnsucht nach diesem Menschen zerfrisst einen. Gedanken, Vorwürfe und Fragen, auf die es nicht eine einzige Antwort gibt, zerstören deinen Kopf. Deinem Herzen fehlt ein Stück und es kann nie wieder repariert werden.

Dieses Set ist für meinen kleinen geliebten Bruder, der von uns gegangen ist. 

Es soll kein Abschiedsset werden, sondern eine Aufforderung an alle Engel, mit uns zu tanzen und bei uns zu sein. All die, die einen Menschen verloren haben, können sich in den Melodien verlieren, sich fallen lassen, sich in Erinnerungen an diesen Menschen wiederfinden und mit ihm tanzen, bis in die Ewigkeit. Lasst uns Augenblicke aufleben lassen, die uns keiner nehmen kann. Lasst uns den Himmel zu uns holen, die Wolken streicheln und die Sterne küssen. 

Es gibt leider nichts auf der Welt, was ihn uns zurückbringt. Was uns bleibt ist die Erinnerung, die unvergessliche gemeinsame Zeit und die Gewissheit, dass unser Engel immer bei uns ist. Alles, was wir tun können, ist ihn festzuhalten und für ihn weiterzuleben. 

Das Set soll uns ein kleines Stück Leben zurückbringen, uns ein wenig Kraft und Hoffnung schenken. Es ist auch ein kleines Geschenk für meine Familie. Wir haben eine so große Liebe entwickelt, ein undurchdringbares Band umschließt uns nun. Wir werden uns für immer festhalten, unsere Herzen sind vereint. Ich wünsche mir, dass jeder einzelne von uns mit diesem Set unseren Engel aufleben lassen wird. Für eine kurze Zeit den Schmerz betäuben und uns freuen, ihn gehabt zu haben.

"Breakfast of Champions is consistently my favorite party of the year both to DJ and attend. I opened the outdoor main stage at 9am this year and for all intents and purposes got to play the sunrise set I had been desiring to play but never got the chance at Burning Man earlier in the year. I took it as an opportunity and honor to be able to set the tone for the morning and get the party off on the right foot. I loved getting to play more of a house oriented set with vocals and a block party feel towards the end of the set. I had a blast playing and hope it shows through in the set."

Bio:
Deckard began DJing in Seattle in 2000 and soon began playing gigs up and down the west coast. Upon moving to San Francisco in 2005 he fell in love with the electronic music scene which is so unique to the Bay Area. You can find him spinning at San Francisco institutions such as Mighty, Shine, Supper Club, Wish and the End Up. Deckard capped off a successful 2009 by joining up with the Space Cowboys Burning Man camp. Depending on the crowd, venue and time of day you might find him spinning downtempo lounge, funky big beat, tech house, electro or breaks.

This brand new episode of Lazpod, the first in AGES, was inspired by seeing Stevie Wonder in concert last week. He reminded me that, in this time of trouble around the world, the one thing that keeps us sane and together is... love.
 
For many years I have been adding and subtracting songs from this compilation... my ultimate collection of love songs. These are songs about the joy of being in love and in some cases, they depict the despair we feel when we are without love.

I discovered whilst making this that you cant beat the classics and every time I tried to add in a fresher, "cooler" track, it just didn’t stand up against the rest. So, here it is, the return of Lazpod. I hope you can feel the love vibes and enjoy this one over years to come.

Doc Martin is a bona fide legend of the house music scene, and his involvement with the music can be traced back to the mid-80s.  Right there on the cusp of the house sound, Doc has become synonymous with the West Coast of America’s dance scene.   From spinning records in San Francisco, various residencies in New York, tours with the likes of Grace Jones, The Prodigy, Moby and Dee-Lite, and welcomed with open arms across Europe at clubs like Back To Basics, Cream and Ministry Of Sound, Doc Martin has tirelessly supported the music over the year with a great passion.

As a producer, Doc has served up A list productions on labels like Moonshine Music, Siesta, Wax Records and Sublevel, as well as DJ mix compilations for Fabric, DM and Nitegrooves, quite simply Doc Martin is the DJs DJ, and it’s a huge pleasure to have him on this weeks Source to Cycle.
